Hours later, sun setting in a dying blaze of warmth, Jason went to look for his guest. Castiel had ghosted away once lunch was finished with no explanation and hadn’t been seen since. Jason had fought the urge to hunt his angel down for three hours afterward, a little unmoored without Castiel’s usual constant presence. A short trip around the front and back porches yielded nothing, not even a lonely black feather. Eating up the fifty yards between house and their plain stable, Jason made a quick check around it, before heading in. Maybe Castiel was interested in Set? It would make sense, and Castiel was inside the stable when Jason came in.
