Kirill paced around his office, replaying everything that had happened. The wolf had taken over him completely and brought him under full control. Apparently, that faint scent of a mate had been enough. This time, however, he remembered everything clearly—especially how he had nearly attacked his own father when he sensed a threat to Vera. And there was one more moment he remembered particularly well: the way Vera had kissed his nose. The memory alone made him smile.
