Chapter Thirty-Seven

1126 Words

A scent filled the room—one associated with happiness, tenderness, loyalty, love, and madness. It was that very aroma, only hundreds of times stronger than expected. Vera smelled so exquisite that Kirill could hardly contain his agitation, fully realizing that his mate had been hurt. Her arm was in terrible condition. The doctor who arrived insisted on hospitalization, but Kirill was adamant. He would not let the girl out of his sight ever again. The physician was familiar with their pack and regularly supported the wolves, saving their skins more than once. Muttering curses about the lack of proper equipment, the doctor continued stitching Vera’s wound. When he finished, the bed was soaked in blood and had to be replaced. Several people tried to help Kirill, but he chased everyone away.
