NOORIES'S POV I closed the door stepping into the living room. The happy loud voices of people and the pounding beat of the music echoed behind me. The house I rented at Kano was a two bedroom flat I shared with my friend Temiloluwa. Temi and I were friends at school. We studied the same course at school and were close but not really close. Surprisingly, we were posted to the same state and place for our service. I was the type who did not have a best friend among my friends. I was friends with all of them. My best friend was my mother until her untimely death and since then, I kept most of my problems to myself. The compound I stayed had six flats. Four were rented to corpers and the remaining two were rented to two married couples. One of my neighbours Chidi, a corper, was celebrating
