Lily Thompson He led me into the elevator. The elevator doors closed. My heart was still racing from the press conference. I crossed my arms and glared at him. “What now, Ryan? Going to give me another speech? His eyes burned into mine. He didn’t say a word. The silence made me even braver. I stepped closer. “Unlike you, I always keep my promises. I said I would humiliate you and I wouldn’t rest until I have done just that” The bell dinged at the next floor. I made a move to step out. That’s when his arm shot around my waist. “You’re not going anywhere,” he growled. “Ryan—let me go!” I pushed at his chest, but he lifted me like I weighed nothing.
