" I waved at her, and walked out. Bye. " I hopped on my bike, and sped away. As soon as I reached my house, I ran upstairs, and jumped into bed. The alarm woke me up five hours later. I got dressed quickly, and grabbed some food.You need to eat more. " Dad scolded me when he caught me skipping breakfast. " I promise I will. " " Promise. " I rolled my eyes. "I promise. " I got on my bike, and pedaled fast down the street. " See you tonight. " I yelled back. The wind whipped through my hair, and I rode faster. I couldn't wait to see Noah. "What took you so long? " He asked as soon as I stepped through the door. " School took forever. " " Have you eaten yet? " " No. " " Okay. Let's go to the restaurant. The restaurant? " " Yep. I'm starving. " I followed him out to his truck, and buckled up. " Where are we going? " " Someplace new. " He started driving, and I looked out the window, but I didn't recognize anything.

Why did we come here? " He chuckled. " Because you deserve it. " My jaw dropped. " But, I can't afford this. " " That's why I'm paying for it. Come on. " He grabbed my hand, and led me inside. "Hi, Noah. " A familiar voice called out from behind me. " Mom! " I gasped. She stood in front of us, along with dad. " Surprise! " She smiled brightly. " I can't believe it. I know. I just wanted to surprise you. You did. " She winked. " Come on, you two. We reserved a booth. " She linked arms with both of us, and led us over to where two big leather booths sat together. " This is perfect. " Noah breathed out. "Isn't it? Now, what are you drinking? " She asked. " Water please, ma'am. " Noah said politely. " Iced tea for me, please. " I requested. She nodded, and left. " I can't believe you knew where this was. I had to have something to surprise you with. " " This place isn't even in town. " " I had to drive all the way out here, but it was worth it. " I grinned. She returned with our drinks, and handed them to us. Alright, what do you want to order? " She said, taking her seat. " I don't know. Do you? " I asked her. " Well, let me see. How about a cheeseburger, fries, and onion rings? " I loved that idea. " Onion rings?Yes please. " I told her. " And I'll have a hamburger, no onions. " Noah added. She nodded, and left again. When she came back, she had three plates, one with a salad on it. She set it down in front of my mom,For you, dear.
