After Liora's encounter with Ryker, she's feeling pretty shaken. She makes her way back to her quarters, trying to process what just happened. As she walks, she can't shake the feeling that she's caught in a web of intrigue. She's just a princess, trying to navigate the complex world of royal politics. When she gets to her quarters, she finds Liam waiting for her, his expression serious. "Liora, we need to talk," he says, his voice low and urgent. Liora nods, her heart pounding in her chest. What does Liam want to tell her? "Liora, the prince is playing a dangerous game," Liam says, his eyes scanning the room as if he's checking for spies. "He's trying to pit Ryker against the other princes, and you're caught in the middle." Liora's eyes widen in shock. She didn't realize things were so complicated. "What can I do?" she asks, feeling a sense of desperation. Liam's expression is grim. "You need to be careful, Liora. The prince is not someone to be underestimated. And Ryker... he's not someone to be trifled with either." Liora nods, her heart racing. She knows she has to be careful, but she's not sure what the future holds. As she looks at Liam, she sees the concern in his eyes, and she feels a sense of gratitude towards him. He's been her protector and friend since she arrived at the palace. "Thank you, Liam," she says, her voice barely above a whisper. Liam nods, his expression softening. "I'll always be here for you, Liora. You know that." Liora smiles, feeling a sense of comfort in the midst of chaos. But little does she know, things are about to get a lot complicated. Liam doesn't want her getting in their mess so he was planning to hand her over to the prince Liam stood before Prince Ezrael, his eyes fixed on the floor as he prepared to make his request. He had been thinking about it for days, and he knew it was the best way to keep Liora safe. "My prince," Liam said, his voice low and respectful. "I have a request to make." Prince Ezrael looked up from the papers on his desk, his eyes narrowed. "What is it, Liam?" Liam took a deep breath, his heart pounding in his chest. "I think Liora would be an excellent choice as your personal maid, my prince." Prince Ezrael's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Liora? The slave girl?" Liam nodded, his expression earnest. "Yes, my prince. She is intelligent, resourceful, and has a keen eye for detail. She would be perfect for the job." Prince Ezrael snorted, his face skeptical. "And why do you think she would be a good fit for this position, Liam?" Liam's eyes locked onto the prince's, his voice filled with conviction. "She is the only one I have seen who can keep up with your demanding schedule, my prince. She is quick-witter and has a gentle touch. She would be an asset to your household." Prince Ezrael's expression was unreadable, but Liam could see the wheels turning in his mind. He was considering it, and Liam knew he had to press his advantage. "Please, my prince," Liam said, his voice low and urgent. "Let me arrange for her to be brought to your chambers. I will make sure she is trained and prepared for the role." Prince Ezrael's eyes narrowed, his gaze piercing. "Why are you so keen on this, Liam? What is it about this girl that makes you think she would be suitable for this position?" Liam's expression remained neutral, but his heart was racing. He knew he had to be careful, to keep his true intentions hidden. "She is a hard worker, my prince," Liam said, his voice calm. "And she deserves a chance to prove herself." Prince Ezrael's gaze lingered on Liam's face, searching for any sign of deception. But Liam was a master of hiding his emotions, and he gave nothing away. Finally, Prince Ezrael nodded, his voice curt. "Very well, Liam. Bring her to my chambers. But if she fails, it's on your head." Liam's face broke out into a relieved smile. "Thank you, my prince. I will make sure she does not disappoint." As Liam turned to leave, Prince Ezrael's voice stopped him. "Liam?" "Yes, my prince?" "Make sure she understands the consequences of failure." Liam nodded, his expression grim. "I will, my prince." Liora was brought to the prince's chambers, her eyes wide with wonder as she took in the opulent surroundings. Liam was waiting for her, his eyes filled with encouragement. "Liora, the prince has agreed to make you his personal maid," Liam said, his voice low. "You will be responsible for helping him with his daily routine, preparing his bath, and dressing him." Liora's eyes widened in shock. "Me? The prince's personal maid?" Liam nodded, his expression serious. "Yes, Liora. You are the one who fits best for this position. But you must be careful, the prince is not a patient man. You must do everything perfectly, or..." Liora's eyes locked onto Liam's, her voice determined. "I will do it, Liam. I will make sure the prince is satisfied." Liam's face broke out into a small smile. "I know you will, Liora. I have faith in you." As Liora began her new duties, she found herself busier than ever. She would wake up before dawn to prepare the prince's bath, and she would spend hours dressing him and arranging his armor. But she was determined to prove herself, to show the prince that she was worthy of his trust. And as she worked, Liam would often appear, his eyes watching her with a mixture of concern and encouragement. He was her guardian, her friend, and she was grateful for his help. But as the days passed, Liora began to realize that being the prince's personal maid was not as easy as it seemed. The prince was demanding, and he would not hesitate to punish her if she made a mistake. Liora's heart pounded with fear as she prepared for another day, her hands shaking as she poured the prince's bathwater. She knew she had to be perfect, or else... As she helped the prince into his armor, she could feel his eyes on her, watching her every move. She was acutely aware of his presence, and she knew she had to be careful. But despite the danger, Liora felt a sense of pride and accomplishment. She was doing something important, something that mattered. And she knew that with Liam's help, she could face anything that came her way. The days turned into weeks, and Liora settled into her new routine. She would prepare the prince's bath, dress him, and help him with his armor. She would bring him his meals, and sit with him as he ate. And through it all, Liam was there, watching over her, protecting her. He would often appear, his eyes scanning the room, making sure she was safe. Liora was grateful for his help, but she was also aware of the danger that lurked beneath the surface. The prince was not a kind man, and she knew that if she made a mistake, it would be her downfall. As she finished dressing the prince, he turned to her, his eyes narrowed. "You are doing well, Liora," he said, his voice cold. "But do not think you can relax. You are not indispensable." Liora's heart pounded with fear, but she kept her expression neutral. "I understand, my prince." The prince nodded, his gaze lingering on her face. "See that you remember it." As he walked away, Liora let out a sigh of relief. She had survived another day, but she knew she couldn't relax. Not yet. Liam appeared beside her, his eyes scanning the room. "Are you okay?" he whispered. Liora nodded, her voice barely above a whisper. "Yes, I'm fine." Liam's expression was grim. "Be careful, Liora. The prince is not to be messed with." Liora's eyes locked onto his, her voice determined. "I will, Liam. I promise." As they stood there, the tension between them was palpable. Liora knew she had to be careful, to keep her distance. But with Liam by her side, she felt like she could face anything.
