Chapter eleven (Charlotte)

Me and Lilia were talking until it became dark, even though it only felt like a few minutes. At first I was just acting nice, but she made me feel so safe and welcome. “Alright lets set up camp here,” says Cody. It kind of annoys me how he is acting like the leader when Lilia is the genuine leader, but Lilia seemed okay with it. “Hey Sam, can I have one of those tents?” I ask. “Yeah, here this one says girls on it, it also says don’t get any funny ideas boys, what does that mean. Sam says, I smile, then see something written a little below it. It said that means you, Cody, you know what I am talking about. I point at it, and say “He explains it more here.” They all read it and there was a small silence. “No, I don’t know what you mean, your majesty,” Says Cody angrily, me and Lilia burst out laughing. “We were right,” says Lilia, laughing. When we were talking me and Lilia agreed that if Cody got angry at the king, he would say your majesty. “Why are you two laughing” asked Cody with a confused look on his face. “He means you and Lilia, but that is not what we were laughing about,” I say, smiling. “Yeah no,” says Cody, looking very disgusted. “Like I would let that happen, as a matter of fact I would not even let in the tent unless he has to be,” says Lilia, rolling her eyes. I look over at Sam and he looked relieved in a 'she could do better' kind of way, and he says “This king seems like a hopeless romantic, I think he should get that fixed.” We all laugh. Cody even smiled a bit. “Alright, let's set up our tents and get some sleep. Should we make watch groups or no” says Lilia she looks around for someone to answer her. “No, I think we are fine tonight,” I say, after waiting to see what the others thought. Lilia nods and starts setting up the tent. I go to help and we get our tent up easily, but the boys were struggling because they were not working together, but they still got it up not long after us.  “Here take my blanket Sam, I don’t really get cold” says Lilia. “Are you sure” asks Sam. She nods, then smiles. He takes it and goes into his tent. It bothers me how he does not say thank you or anything at all. I would have taken it right back if he did that to me, but Lilias not me she is nice and sweet, but by the way she talks I can see she has a bit of a bad side on her. I head into the girl's tent and try to get comfy enough to go to sleep. Lilia does not come until a little later. “What were you doing?” I ask. “Me and Leo were hanging up our food so animals do not get into it” she says. She sounded tired but weren't we all from walking all day. We just sat there for a bit. I watched Lilia zip the tent closed, removing all the light from the star that was making her blond hair stop glowing a beautiful golden color. She saw I was still up and said, “Go to sleep we have to get up bright and early tomorrow” says Lilia, smiling. I lay down and get comfy again, then I fall right to sleep. I wake up around what I am guessing is midnight and when I sat up to stretch Lilia was not next to me sleeping. At first I was worried, but then I heard an arrow being shot. I crept out of the tent to make sure she did not shoot me. “What’s wrong?” I ask while she was walking over to where I am guessing she shot the arrow. I made her just so bad, I thought she was going to climb the tree next. “Oh wow, you okay you really jumped” I ask. “Yeah, I am fine you just scared me,” she says. "What happened to sleeping” I ask. “I could not sleep, I can not stop thinking about what we are doing,” Lilia says. “What do you mean?” I ask, sort of confused but quite curious. “Its just the king just kicked us out on this mission with little information on what we are doing,” Lilia says while staring off into the distance. “It was like he was trying to get rid of us,” she says, still staring off in the distance like she was waiting for something. “He was probably just trying to get us there the fastest he can so we can stop them faster,” I say. “You are probably right,” she says, as she looks away from where she was looking before. “We should probably head to bed so we have energy to walk tomorrow,” I say while looking at the place she was looking at, then look at her. She smiles, then says “Just give me a moment to get my arrows” she says, nod than head back to the tent to sleep.
