Luke's POV
After being dismissed by the boss, I walked to my room to call it a night. I passed guards on my way, nodding at them politely after their greetings.
In my room, I peeled off my clothes and stepped into the bathroom for a warm shower. After the shower, I brushed my teeth and slipped on a black shirt and matching sweatpants.
Through my balcony doors I saw it was raining in torrents, with the wind that accompanied it; it would no doubt turn into a storm. I was about to get comfortable on my bed when the lights went off. Seconds later the backup generator kicked in.
Not comfortable with the situation, I decided to find out if everything was okay. I opened my door and found Nicholas in front of it about to knock.
