Chapter 16“You all right?”
Morgan knew the answer to his own question before Evan could reply. He held the sorcerer to him as they stood on the lawn in front of Loren’s former mansion. Yet, despite their closeness, despite Morgan’s arms around his waist, Evan was still nervous. It was all over. The mansion no longer belonged to Loren, but to Will and Annette. Morgan knew there was more to it, however. Evan had spent far too long in that mansion after he and Will had moved back to Cardiff with Loren. Morgan kissed his lover’s hair and brushed his cheek over its softness. Evan drew in a deep breath and backed into him, as if to reassure himself Morgan was still there.
