Lily walks towards the vice principal office. She had been called to his office when she was taking her class.
She reaches the door which had the sign broadly written,VP's office. She Knocks on the door and waits for his reply. "Come in",the man on the other side of the room answered.
Lily opened the door as she stepped in. "Good morning sir",she greeted after closing the door behind her. The man nods.
The man's name was Mr Edwin. "Lily, sorry to interrupt your class",he apologizes as Lily stared at her feet. "No problem sir",she replied.
Mr Edwin sighed as he took out an envelope from his drawer. He hands it over to Lily, making her look at him in confusion.
"Sir, what is this?",she asked as she stared at the brown envelope in her hands. "That's is a reminder that you have to pay your tuition fees on time",Mr Edwin said.
"Sir, I know but can you please extend the period. I already have some money but it's not enough", Lily explained making the man take off his glasses.
"Lily, I know about your family's background very well, that's why I extend the period but you showed no sign of paying",he answered.
"Sir, please I beg of you. I promise to pay before the month ends",she pleaded with folded hands. "Lily, I can't extend it anymore. The school is already on my neck....", Mr Edwin tried to continue but he couldn't help feel sad as he saw her starting to tear up.
"Come on now, don't cry. Fine I will talk to the school to let you off for some time but promise me you will pay before the month ends",he asked. Lily nods her head as she wipes her tears.
"Tha...nk yo...u so much,Mr Edw..in",she said as her words were broken due to her tears. Mr Edwin dismissed her.
Lily walks through the corridor. She stared at the envelope she held, thinking about how she was going to raise a large sum of money. She didn't watch where she was going and she bumps into a wall, or more like a human wall.
She lost her balance and was about to lose her balance but the person's hand reached out instinctively, grabbing her arm to before she could fall.
His grip on her arm was strong and firm. Lily looked at the man who had caught her in time before she fell. She was lost in a trance after she locked eyes with him.
His sharp eyes which felt line like he was staring into her soul, his sharp pointy nose, his lips that seems so attractive to kiss, with his chiseled jawline."like damn, he's really handsome", Lily thought to herself as she couldn't stop staring at the man.
"What you looking at?", The man asked, his voice was low and cold. Lily regained her senses as she broke free from the man. "I...am...so..so...rry", Lily quickly apologized as she bent down to pick up her envelope which had fell from her hands.
"Keep your apology and watch where you are going",The man replied. His gaze lingered on Lily a little longer than expected as he noticed how innocent and cute she looked, he sighed as he Lily stepped aside making way for him to pass.
"What is wrong with me?",The man- Alexander asked himself as he walked towards the boardroom of the university.
He had come to discuss some investment property with the university management but he hasn't expect to bump into a girl that is making him feel strange.
He felt somewhat warm after her held her arm to stop her from falling. She was soft, small and delicate. Her scent was the first thing he noticed when she bumped into him, she had his scent of vanilla on her and that made his heart race which was weird.
No woman had ever made his heart race like she did and that to, from just bumping into him. "I must be going crazy",he thought to himself as he walked into the boadroom and heads to his seat, completely ignoring the greetings.
Lily reached her class but it was already over so she just walks towards her seat as she picks up her back. "There is no need for him to be that cold, I mean it was a mistake",she said to herself as she remembers how he held her arm.
She felt strange. It felt as if the place he touched was hot which was weird as she haven't felt that way before. "Concentrate, you need to get money for your fees and not dream about a stranger",she scolded herself as she prepared to leave.
