We make it to the hospital within the hour. Even though Abby head wound is completely healed, we agreed not to wake her until after the council meeting, which is a week away. Amiela, my strong mate, always wants to stay by her sister bedside to make sure she's safe. I promise I'll keep both of them safe and ease my mate worry. As Amiela settles in by her sister's bed, Howard and Clyde are already there. I took in a last glance at Amiela, making sure she's comfortable. I looked at Howard and Clyde.
"We need to talk." I said, keeping my tone neutral. I turned back to Amiela.
"We will be right outside if you need anything, baby." I said my tone soft and gentle.
"OK," she said in a whisper, never taking her eyes off her sister Abby.
