I kept my eyes on Amiela watching for any type of reaction, but she just looked confused.
"Mate?" She said as question
"Yes" is all I said.
We sat in silence for a while. She gets off the bed and paces a little bit. Then she turned around to face me.
"Do you mean mate like friends or do you what Howard and Clyde are. I heard Clyde used that word when he talked about Howard." She said.
"Who uses mate to mean friends." I said amused.
"Australian, I guess, but that not the point. I ask you a question." She said hotly.
