The Orc and His Baby Girl

chapter one: Camping

Amiela POV

I'm running through the woods. I knew camping was a bad idea. Now I'm running from an unknown beast trying to hold up my sister as I'm trying to get me and her to safety. I don't know what happened. I went to the restroom behind some tree , and I heard my sister scream. I ran to her to find a gash on her head, but she was still alive but barely conscious. Then I heard a gowl. I look around and there by the tree where I was moments ago was a creature of some sort. I don't think it was a bear. It looked too big to be a bear, but it was dark. So I got my sister up, and we started running. I can't remember which direction we were going. For all I know is we could be going deeper into the woods close to the beast's lair. I don't know how long we were running, but my sister was getting heavier. I felt like I was dragging her. Her legs finally gave out, causing me to stumble. We both tumbled to the ground. I thought we were goners. This is how we die. Then, all of a sudden, there was a bright light, and then everything went dark.
