Hostel Bunk: Three Girls' Secret Night

Manayo looked at her two roommates and whispered in a very low voice, "We will sneak out of the hostel tonight. Quietly. No one will ever know."

Lisa and Du-hee stared at her. Their faces became pale. The warden of their hostel was known for being very strict. If any girl was caught after 10 PM outside her room, she would be punished badly.

Lisa immediately said, "If we get caught, we will be rusticated from the hostel. My father will never forgive me. Are you serious?"

Du-hee also nodded. She was always the most scared of the three. "There are cameras everywhere. On the main gate, on the corridors. How will we go out? It is impossible."

Manayo smiled. She was not like other girls. Her mother was a billionaire and she had taught her that nothing is impossible if you have a good plan.

"Don't worry. I have a full plan. Listen to me carefully," Manayo said calmly. "This hostel has an old washroom at the back side. That washroom was built separately from all the rooms many years ago. Now no one uses it because there are new washrooms near our rooms. So that area is always empty at night."

She continued, "First, I will go to that washroom as an excuse. After three minutes, you Lisa, you also go there. And after another three minutes, Du-hee you come. We will meet there. No one will doubt us."

The plan sounded risky but it was the only way.

After ten minutes, Manayo stood up and said loudly, "I am going to the washroom." She walked out normally.

Exactly after three minutes, Lisa also stood up. "I also need to go."

Then Du-hee followed them.

Within five minutes, all three girls were inside that old, large washroom. The washroom was old and a little damp. Its tiles were broken. There was a small, dusty window at the top, near the ceiling. Manayo quickly locked the door from inside.

Lisa looked around and whispered, "Why did you call us in the washroom? What will we do here?"

Manayo did not say anything. She just pointed her finger towards the small window.

Both Lisa and Du-hee looked at the window and then looked at Manayo with shock.

"What?" Lisa said in a low, shocked voice. "Are you saying we will jump from this window? Are you crazy? We will break our legs."

"Yes," Manayo said with confidence. "Think about it. Outside this window is the old garden. That garden is on the backside of the hostel. No one has permission to go into that garden because it is full of wild plants. The hostel management has locked it for years. So they never installed any camera there. I checked it myself last week. There is no camera in that garden."

She added, "And the most important thing is, the old boundary wall of that garden is broken from one side. That broken wall is our door to freedom."

Both girls were silent for a second. The idea was scary but also very exciting.

Without wasting more time, Manayo climbed onto the old wash basin. She balanced herself, opened the small window, and looked outside. Cold, fresh air came inside. The night was dark and silent. The garden outside was covered with dry leaves.

The height was not much, only about six feet from the ground. Manayo jumped outside very easily, like a cat. She landed on the soft grass without any sound. Then she looked up and whispered, "Come fast. It is very easy."

Lisa was a dancer. Her body was flexible. She also climbed up, took a small breath, and jumped down. She landed next to Manayo easily.

Now only Du-hee was left inside the washroom. She had never done such a thing in her life. Her hands were shaking.

"What if I fall down and get hurt?" she said nervously.

Manayo and Lisa both laughed silently from outside.

Lisa whispered, "It is only six feet, Du-hee. We are standing right here. We will catch you. Just close your eyes and jump."

Du-hee finally closed her eyes, said a small prayer, and jumped. Manayo and Lisa caught her safely. All three fell on the grass and started laughing quietly.

Now they were inside the old, deserted garden. It was very dark and silent. No one had permission to come there. No camera was installed there. The grass was wild and tall. They walked through the garden carefully and reached the old boundary wall. The wall was really broken from one side, just as Manayo had said.

Manayo climbed the broken wall first and jumped to the other side. It was a small street. Then Lisa jumped. Then Du-hee also jumped with a lot of difficulty, but her friends helped her.

Now they were outside the hostel. They were standing on a real street at midnight. The city lights were shining. The roads were almost empty. For the first time in many months, they felt completely free. No rules, no warden, no hostel timing.

They were breathing fast. Their hearts were beating very fast because of fear and excitement, but they were extremely happy.

Lisa took out her phone and started making a video. "This is our secret night," she said happily.

They started walking in the city. They saw a small street food stall which was still open. The smell of the food was very nice. They ordered spicy noodles and hot corn dogs. They shared the food and ate together. The food tasted very good because they were eating it with the taste of freedom.

They walked, laughed, talked, and enjoyed the city lights. They forgot all their hostel stress and exams.

But they forgot to check the time.

Suddenly Manayo checked her phone. It was already 3:00 AM.

"Oh my God, it is already 3:00. We have to go back now," Manayo said urgently. "If the morning cleaning staff comes at 4:00 AM, they will find our room empty."

Lisa and Du-hee also became serious. They quickly ran back towards the hostel. They reached the broken wall again, jumped inside the old garden, walked quietly through the dark garden, and reached the washroom window.

One by one, they climbed back inside the washroom. It was very difficult to climb up from outside, but they helped each other. They cleaned their shoes, fixed their clothes, and went back to their room very quietly.

It was 3:30 AM when they finally lay on their beds. They only had three hours to sleep because they had to wake up at 7:00 AM for university and a Maths test.

In the morning, all three looked very tired. Du-hee's eyes were red.

"I did not study for the test at all," Du-hee said worriedly. "I will fail today."

Lisa smiled tiredly, "Last night's adventure was worth more than a test."

Manayo put her arm around Du-hee and said, "Don't worry. We will manage. That night will be our best memory forever."

They went to university. After the test, their friend Tina asked them, "How was your paper? You all look so tired and sleepy today!"

The three girls looked at each other and smiled secretly. Only they knew the real reason for their tired faces and happy smiles. Their secret night had made their friendship unbreakable. They were no longer just three roommates. They were now best friends forever and partners in a secret.
