Through the side of her eyes, Farida noticed someone approaching. She glanced in that direction. It was Leke.
Kurt’s hands moved from her ass to her waist.
“I’m leaving.” Leke husked, his hands in the pockets of his black trousers.
“What?” Kurt stared. “No, bro. It’s too soon.”
“I’ve been here for three hours, bro.”
Toke joined them. He spoke to Kurt. “He told you he’s leaving, didn’t he?”
Leke hurled a livid stare at Toke. “Why don’t you mind your damn business?”
Farida cringed. Why the hostility?
Toke ignored him. He announced, “It’s because of her,” and tipped his chin in Alera’s direction. “He’s pissed off because she’s with Ben.”
