Chapter 33 Farida sauntered into her parlor, singing Asa’s Be My Man. She was still in her work clothes from yesterday. In one hand, she carried her shoes. She lurched into her bedroom and collapsed on the bed. A yawn ripped out of her mouth, putting an end to the song. Gosh, she was tired. She’d barely managed to get five hours sleep during the night. And whose fault was that? Farida giggled. If only she could sleep. She sneaked a glance at her watch. It was nearly one in the afternoon. But she couldn’t. Her heart, her nerves and her stomach were doing their own thing, refusing to cooperate. Her entire body throbbed with excitement. It seemed like she was about to burst.
