Nosa blinked. “With you?”
“Yes, with me...” Her laughter was soft, hesitant.
His face brightened and then he threw her a wide grin. “Yes, of course. You mean... now?”
“We don’t have any clients for the rest of the day. We can take some time off. We deserve it.”
“I second that. Okay, count me in.”
The phone on Esther’s desk pealed. Esther picked it up and spoke into it.
Farida smiled at Nosa. “So, we’re set?”
Before Nosa could reply, Esther interrupted. “I’m sorry, Farida, but it’s for you.” She paused and then her green eyes glimmered. “It’s Kurt Achike. He says he’s been trying your mobile but it’s just been ringing.”
Farida slapped a hand to her mouth. “Gosh, I forgot it in my office. Thank you.” She walked over to the desk and reached out for the handset.
“Hello...”
