Chapter 10
Kurt sauntered up the stairs to a row of seats in the cinema hall, a basket of popcorn, drinks and sweets in his hands, trailing behind Trinity Esi. He was listening to her chatter but his gaze was fixed on the back of her thighs in her short skirt.
“I’m closer to my dad than my mom...” She was saying as she slithered into one chair, her skirt riding up even further.
He occupied the seat on her right, abandoning the basket on an empty chair on his right. They were here to watch Planet of the Apes, 2 and after the movie, there would be dinner and drinks. “You’re dad’s girl?”
“Oh yes!” she hurled long-lashed bright eyes at him. “Very much. I’m nearly always in Abuja with him and my stepmom. Although I did most of my studies in the UK, with my mom. She’s from Barbados...”
