Chapter one

402 Words
Jasmine looks out side the window and sighs heavily. She hated this time of the year , it was her birthday but it only reminded her of how unhappy she was. The fact that it was her birthday today didn’t make her feel any great she felt the opposite actually. Who would believe that she was turning twenty anyways. She looked so small for her age. She missed her father terribly and today only made things worse. Recently the family had moved to a new house. It was spooky here and she felt some kind of aura in here. She couldn’t decide if it was a good feeling or a bad one though. It had started to drizzle again. She sighed but it was a silent one. She saw roofy making his way towards here. She could tell he wanted to play. He wagged his tail happily and looked at her with his big eyes. “ No roofy, no playing, and besides we can’t play it’s drizzling outside we just have to wait till it stops, we wouldn’t want to catch a cold.” Jasmine said touching his fury hair. At least she had roofy with her unlike her four selfish siblings. They had forgotten about her birthday. Her mom had called earlier. She was away on a business trip. Again. She seemed to be doing that a lot lately after the had moved in into their new house. Well, after her dad passed away it hadn’t been easy for any of them but she sometimes wishes her mom would be there for her. She walked down the hallway with roofy and suddenly noticed a creepy old door. “ have you seen this door here before ? Lets check it out,”she whispered touching his head. Roofy barked in reply “ I can’t get it open, it’s stuck and it’s rusty we should get help, when it stops drizzling. What do you think? We could ask Richard for help I’m sure he would be happy to help” Roofy barked and turned to leave. Jasmine stood there. She could feel it. There was something behind that door and she wanted to know. She could feel the aura around it like it was calling out to her. When it finally stopped drizzling she would go to Richard she was sure he’d help her. ************************************************* “Finally, it stopped, let’s go get Richard”
