Chapter 7

Jasmine couldn’t hide her expression, she looked baffled and speechless. Roofy barked loudly, while Jack looked like he would pass out at any moment. Even Richard looked like the blood was drained out of his body. The house looked like a sugar and candy castle. The walls were made of different kinds of chocolate and colors. It looked like a whole different world all together.

“Someone wake me up’” Jack said wide eyed.

“ what is this place?”

“ it looks like a sugar castle, but I don’t understand, even their tables and chairs are made of bread and chocolate” Jasmine said pointing to the table

“ Actually, it’s ginger bread and it’s quite delicious. Would you like to have a taste?”

They looked up and saw what looked like a younger version of the First Lady.

“ This is my daughter, Fiona.”

The woman said gesturing towards the girl who had spoken.

“And I’m Sophie and this is Phoebe.” There were three young elf’s before them.

“ I don’t understand, this doesn’t seem right how could you exist.” Richard spoke for the first time since the entered the house.”

“ But we’re here standing before you aren’t we?’ Phoebe the last of them said with a serious look.

The girls looked really beautiful,they wore similar clothes with golden shoes. Fiona had a rigid look on her face and jasmine decided she didn’t like her very much. Sophie and phoebe looked like they were nice. They had a soft look in their green eyes.

“ Why don’t you follow the girls, and get changed and cleaned up then we would talk about how to get you to the white mountains to see Gasea tomorrow. You children look so tired and weak.”

Richard and jack hesitated a bit before jasmine gave them a reassuring smile. She bent and smoothened roofy’s fur.

“Do you have some dog food?” She asked no one in particular with a dazed look.

I’ll take care of him, phoebe said already moving toward roofy.

She brushed his fur lightly, and roofy let out a soft bark. Jasmine decided to leave him, she had a feeling he was in good hands. She wouldn’t live with herself if anything happened to him. She gave them a last look before following the others. Richard took her hand and gave her a smile. She smiled back, he really was handsome.

The top of the house looked normal, with huge red curtains. Jack walked close to jasmine, she could tell he was home sick she wanted to cry knowing this was her fault and she did this to him.

“ why don’t we let the boys clean up first why we look for a dress for you?”

“ No, I’m okay I’ll wear my dress I don’t want to trouble you at all”

“Nonsense, mother said we should and besides your clothes are not suitable at all you should know. It’s torn badly”

“I’ll take the boys to the bathroom while you take care of her”Fiona concluded.

Jasmine looked at Richard and the jack before giving them a little hug. It felt strange hugging Richard who returned her hug too. She liked the feeling too she decided and followed Sophie.
