The mirror

Chapter 8

Jasmine looked at her self in the mirror for the hundredth time. She couldn’t recognize the girl she saw in the mirror. The red gown she wore made her look like a princess and her hair was let down and combed. She smelt of sweet rose or so she didn’t know what Fiona had put in her bath water but it made her feel relaxed. She felt clean, she smiled remembering that it was still her birthday. She couldn’t control it and let the tears fall freely.

“Fiona asked looking confused. Don’t you like the dress? Don’t worry, I’ll get you another one”

“No, it’s not the dress it’s perfect. It’s just....today was supposed to be my birthday and it feels like the worse day ever. I don’t even know where I’m and it..... “

she couldn’t hold back the tears letting them flow freely. She felt a hand touch her shoulders. She pulled sophie in for a hug.

“It will be okay, everything will be okay, in the morning we’ll take you to see Gaea” “Thanks that would be very lovely.” Jasmine said wiping her face.

She shouldn’t have judged Fiona quickly. She was all that bad, she might even be the nicest of them all jasmine thought we a smile.

“Now let’s get your ready”

“For what,” jasmine asked with a surprised look”

“Today is still your birthday, you should celebrate it”

It had almost been an hour or so Richard thought. He was starting to get really worried. Jasmine was nowhere to be seen. He’d asked about her a lot of times and the older lady told him she was almost done. Roofy and jack were worried as well. Where was she?

He almost stood before he saw her. She wore a red gown which made her look like a princess. Her hair had been styled and it was all curly. Her blue eyes were so pretty and the make up on her face looked so perfect for her. He got really nervous, he hadn’t seen a girl so beautiful or pretty. He swallowed hard as she made her way towards him.

“Wow, you look stunning, like a princess. Well, more beautiful if you ask me.”

“Thank you” Jasmine replied shyly foundling with her dress.

“Damn, you look really pretty”

“Thanks jack, have you guys eaten yet?”

“No we’re waiting for you.”

“Why didn’t you tell me it was your birthday today?”

“Yeah, Jas you never told us”

“I’m sorry guys I forgot and there’s not much to be celebrated.”

“Well tell them that” jack said pointing towards the table. She gasped loudly.

There was the most beautiful chocolate cake with magical decorations. She couldn’t believe her eyes. There was also a lot of food on the table.

She closed her eyes tightly, feeling really special. “Happy birthday!” Everyone chorused loudly.

“Thanks, a lot this is too much,I don’t even know what to say”

“You’re welcome.” Fiona said winking at her. Now let’s go eat.”

Finally! jack screamed and everyone laughed.
