Chapter 5

“ over here” Richard yelled. He’d Jasmine trip and fell and the bug was coming towards her

He didn’t think much and started yelling in an attempt to distract the bug.

“Jasmine run! “

She looked up and saw Richard waving and yelling to the bug who was slowly making its way towards him. Her heart started making jumps and beating way too fast. She stood and ran quickly and Richard followed. Jack and roofy we’re almost at the water fall.

“Run into the woods and hide!”

she screamed hoping jack could hear. The bug was now charging with full speed towards her. It had left Richard, what was the bug’s deal anyways. She felt the vibration this time, she could feel the breeze from the wings of the buzzing.

“Jasmine duck!” Richard yelled

She did and he dragged her into the woods she turned around in time to see the bug raise it corbiculae up.

The bug buzzed away quickly

“What just happened”jasmine cried panting hard.

“I think we just escaped from a huge bug who wanted to eat us up”Richard responded

“Wow ,that was epic jack said readjusting his glasses, but I want to go home now. I’m 13 I can’t live in the woods

“ no one’s living here!”Richard said firmly, we just have to look for help or help ourselves.

“But how, I got us into this, if I hadn’t insisted you open that door, this is all my fault” jasmine cried

Roofy barked and licked her face nudging her

“This isn’t the time to play roofy”she said and patted him gently

Her clothes were dirty and it had ripped badly from the fall.

“Let’s just check this forest out.”

I don’t like it here jack complained hugging himself. “It’s so creepy and dark “

“And cold”Richard added. This forest is unusual... it’s really creepy. The trees were shaped like human being and the leaves were like palms. The sand was green,and the birds chirping didn’t sound like it all.

The air was too cold.

“I don’t like it here at all jack” lamented said he was on the verge of crying. “Here hold my hand “jasmine said stretching out her hands towards him and he grabbed it quickly.

“ we’ve walked over an hour or so, there’s nothing here, I think we’re stuck here. Should we go back jack swallowed looking around

“And get eaten by the big bug Richard queried,”

“I think not.”

“Let’s just keep moving” , jasmine said clutching jacks hand even tighter.

She felt awful for putting him in this situation though he invited himself. Even so,she still felt bad. She stole a glance at Richard his dark hair had be rustled by the wind and from the running earlier. He’s face gave no emotion on how he was feeling. He’s nose was really so firm and pointed and his jaw looked so rigid. He was really handsome now that she paid attention to his features.

She remembered what he had done earlier when the bug almost ate her. She decided that she would thank him.

“Look!”, he shrieked snapping her out of her thoughts

It was a lighted cabin,

“Should we check it out?jack asked looking directly at her.

“Yeah let’s go.”

They all made their way toward the cabin
