Kesha's car was a silver Porsche.
I walked over to the passenger seat and discreetly took a pill from my pocket, chewing it up.
As I got into the car, I pretended to search for something in my bag, and a small pouch "accidentally" slipped into the seat crevice.
Moments later, a sudden foul stench filled the car!
Kesha, who was touching up her makeup in the mirror, immediately covered her nose and mouth, overwhelmed by the smell.
"What is that smell? It's disgusting!"
I calmly sat in my seat, ignoring her.
This was the Stinky Bomb, an invention of my master, and it worked wonders.
"Is it you... Kylia! Why do you smell so bad?"
Kesha was nearly passing out from the stench, her lipstick smearing across her face, making her look like a clown.
I watched her struggle for a while until my anger subsided. Then, I opened the car door and stepped out.
As soon as the door opened, Kesha gasped for fresh air, finally recovering.
She glared at me furiously. "You wretched bastard! Your mother was just a whore..."
"My mother knew him before your mother did," I interrupted coldly.
"I have fulfilled my part of the deal by marrying Herbert. Our transaction is complete. I hope you and your family will leave me alone from now on!"
I turned away, biting my lip to hold back my tears.
I just... wanted to know if that man had any lingering affection for my mother.

Regina's POV:
The family doctor was checking on Herbert as usual, and I stayed close by, afraid of hearing any bad news.
However, this time, the doctor's face showed surprise after the examination.
"Mrs. Hartling, did you get a new doctor for Mr. Hartling?"
"No, you've always been in charge of Herbert's condition. Why? Is his condition worsening?"
"No, quite the opposite. Mr. Hartling's condition has improved. He could wake up any moment!"
"Are you serious?"
I grabbed the doctor's hand excitedly.
The doctor nodded confidently.
"He is still in a coma, but he should be conscious."
"Wonderful! Herbert, can you hear me?"
After the doctor left, I paced the living room with joy bubbling inside me like champagne.
"Moon Goddess, could it be that marrying Kylia caused Herbert's sudden improvement? It must be! Kylia is a lucky charm sent by the Moon Goddess for Herbert! I need to buy her some gifts right away!"
I spoke excitedly to myself, rushing towards the door.

Kylia's POV:
After school, I walked home alone, my shadow stretching long in the sunset.
A black car stopped in front of me, and the window rolled down to reveal Benson's smiling face.
"Kylia, Mrs. Hartling asked me to bring you home."
Home? Right, I had a home now.
A warm feeling spread through me as I silently got into the car, watching the scenery fly by outside.
Back at the Hartling Manor, I noticed Benson smiling even more than usual, making me curious.
"Benson, did something happen?"
"Kylia, you're back? Come inside!"
Before Benson could answer, Regina's joyful voice rang out.
Benson gave me a mysterious smile, gesturing for me to go see for myself.
I walked into the living room, curious, and saw Regina humming a tune as she organized clothes on the rack.
The entire living room was filled with hundreds of clothing racks, each holding beautiful dresses!
"Mom..."
I was stunned. What was happening?
"Kylia!"
Regina twirled like a little girl, pulling me to the racks.
"Look at these! Do you like them? We're hosting a family banquet soon, and this is your first time presenting yourself as Herbert's wife. So, I prepared some dresses for you!"
I nodded and understood the situation, though I was shocked by the sheer number of "some" dresses.
Regina blinked at me. "Well, why don't you try one on?"
I took one of the dresses she had carefully chosen, changed into it, and walked out of the room.
"You look beautiful!"
Regina walked over, taking my hand, her expression first delighted but then a bit troubled.
"Kylia, could you wash off the makeup on your face for the banquet?"
I looked at her, and Regina explained sincerely.
"It's not that I dislike it. I just want everyone to see you at your best. Since Herbert's accident, the Bermond family has been unstable..."
I understood. My master and I had seen similar family conflicts in movies.
I nodded quickly.
"Mom, don't worry. I understand."
Regina sighed in relief, even more pleased.
"Kylia, you truly are our family's lucky charm! Since marrying Herbert, his condition has improved!"
"Did the doctor say that?"
My eyes brightened. Could it be that the pill from my master was working?
Regina nodded vigorously.
"The doctor said his organs have stopped deteriorating, and his heartbeat is stable. He'll wake up soon!"
