Herbert was waking up!
All thanks to me!
Apparently, my medical skills weren't too shabby!
I couldn't help but smile, my heart filling with a sweetness beyond compare.
Humming a tune, I skipped back to my room and went straight to Herbert's bedside to check on him.
"My medicine really worked. Don't worry, I'll heal you soon."
I spoke while stroking his brows.
Even in a coma, his brows were furrowed tightly.
What could he be worrying about in his dreams? Would he wake up and be a stern, expressionless poker face?
If my future husband ended up like that... Well, I'd make sure he knew how much effort I put into saving him!
"I have so much to tell you today. As usual, I'll share after my bath!"
With that, I turned and walked into the bathroom.

Herbert's POV:
I felt like I was wrapped in a dark cloud, unable to see or hear anything.
Suddenly, I saw a familiar man.
He also seemed to be in a coma yet on the verge of waking up, his eyelashes twitching slightly, and so were his fingers.
He resembled a marble statue coming to life, slowly and laboriously raising his stone arm.
Veins bulged on his muscular forearm as he struggled. Though he could only lift it a bit, he never showed any sign of giving up.
Finally, he raised his arm into the air, holding it there before it dropped heavily.
When his arm crashed back onto the bed, I felt a faint pain in my hand.
I suddenly remembered. That man was me!
Then, I left the dark cloud and returned to my body.
I heard the sound of running water mixed with a cheerful song. "I am a little priestess, filled with little secrets. Wanna know what they are? I won't tell you!"
That voice...
I frowned, trying to recall memories of that voice.
It was a girl's voice that had appeared recently. She often spoke to me, saying she was... my wife?
Wasn't my fiancée Kesha?
Who was she?
The water stopped, but my mind couldn't calm down.
The girl came out from the bathroom, carrying a fresh scent that smelled like a morning breeze mixed with the sweetness of lilies. Then, she walked straight to my bedside.
"I was only away for a few minutes. Why are you frowning again? Are you uncomfortable lying there and want to recover as soon as possible?"
She gently smoothed my furrowed brow with her soft fingers, and a playful drop of water, possibly from her hair, fell onto my chin.
Though I had regained consciousness, I couldn't move or speak, only able to endure her closeness.
My feelings were... complex.
Before the car accident, as an Alpha, no one, especially women, dared touch me without permission.
But now, this unfamiliar girl touched my face freely, even my legs!
A flicker of anger ignited, yet it was quickly replaced by a desire to moan in comfort.
Her fingers gently pressed into my legs, miraculously relaxing the stiff muscles.
I realized she was massaging me, just like the past few nights.
Feeling ashamed for misjudging her, I no longer resisted her touch.
After finishing the massage, she cheerfully climbed into bed, snuggling under the covers beside me.
As she approached, her scent grew stronger, making it hard for me to control myself.
But then, she began babbling about her day, like a little bird eager to share its adventures with its family.
I learned about Kesha's family tormenting her, forcing her to marry me in Kesha's place, and that she had never met her biological father.
I heard her say, "But your mom is really nice, so you must be nice as well. Am I right? When you get better, will you be my knight?"
Her voice grew softer until she fell asleep beside me.
In the darkness, I could clearly hear her steady breathing.
I tried lifting my arm again, slowly reaching towards her.
My fingers seemed to land on her cheek. She was so young, her skin smooth like a peeled egg.
Finally, my hand gently rested on her neck, filling me with an unprecedented sense of satisfaction. I closed my eyes and fell into a deep sleep.

Kesha's POV:
I didn't know why, but my whole body itched unbearably. I couldn't help but scratch myself and leave countless bloody stains, with my face breaking out in hives.
I fought the urge to scratch my face, fearing disfigurement more than death!
My screams echoed through the Bermond Villa.
The family doctor rushed in, giving me an antibiotic drip upon seeing my miserable look.
But instead of improving, my condition worsened!
Soon, my skin turned bright red, looking like I had been flayed!
"It's Kylia! She must have put something in the car to harm me!"
I screamed, gritting my teeth, longing to tear that b***h to pieces!
