Chapter 6: Training Part 3 Lucas POV During Carmen’s chapter

After a week of hellish mornings, long afternoons, and even longer nights, my Alpha training was moving along better than I would have expected. In a week I have learned more than I have in my history class this last semester. Most nights I'm up for hours reading and learning the history of my people, history of the Goddess Selene, and the story of my parents written by my mom.

My Alpha Tongue still needs help, I can’t exactly control it. The stronger my Magic gets the harder it is to regulate. When I'm stressed, angry, even aroused it will just come out Commanding and powerful. Don’t believe me, I have three instances to prove just how bad it is.

I can smell Carmen before she reaches me, I don’t know if it’s because we are mates or if it’s because I’m a werewolf. But what ever the reason I know when she is coming my way. One day Carmen just came over without telling anyone and poked her head in. She watched me for a second while I focused my mind, and body to at least look like I was still focused on what I was reading. When she walked away an Omega werewolf came to just bring me a sandwich. Daquan knew after training I didn’t grab lunch, and I would not eat and just study. I was so focused on ignoring her and calming my blood from burning hot through my veins, when a hand touched my shoulder and before I knew it, I turned around on the omega wolf and barked at her using Alpha Tongue,

“DO NOT TOUCH ME!” The omega She-wolf let go of me and backed away from me so fast with fear but obvious respect I knew it was the Command that made her move so fast.

The second time, I was in the shower when I smelled her come into my room, she seemed to have looked around. And once she figured I was gone she left. When I walked into my study area after my shower, her smell touched me in places I didn’t know existed. My blood started to heat up, but I kept breathing deeply to keep my mind clear. Soon Daquan entered, and I didn’t hear him because I was so focused on keeping my self from hunting and mounting Carmen. So, when Daquan asked me if I was okay, and I turned around and barked at him,

“DO NOT SNEAK UP ON ME, ANNOUNCE YOURSELF BEFORE ENTERING MY ROOM.” I felt guilty as I noticed the click of control that was inflicted on Daquan as his spine straightened and he started to back away. I quickly caught myself and said, in Alpha Tongue this time on purpose, “Don’t, that was not an order.” Daquan stopped, as I explained to him, what happened right before he got there, and how my Alpha Tongue has been working. This caused us both to laughed for a bit at the ridiculousness of it all. Daquan then told me about some trinkets, and everyday easy tricks I could do, that he read about, that could help with this.

Lastly, during the worse of my blow-ups. This happened while me, Alpha John, Beta Adam, and Daquan were studying the History of the Alphas of the Red Moon, and their Cultural differences with other Werewolf pacts. It was also 5 days since I touched Carmen. So when she just randomly showed up, her scent took hold of me, making me a bit rabid. This pushed Adam to run and address Carmen taking her out of the study. While Alpha John and Daquan had to work extra hard to calm me. I thrashed and barked in Alpha tongue. If not for Alpha John, Kai would have attacked Carmen. Because he was breaking to the surface. It took Alpha John, Daquan, and also Beta Adam, when he returned, about an hour to get me and Kai to heel.

But in the end, once calmed. I expressed to everyone, “Please keep Carmen away, it’s already hard for me to deal with the growing magic in me! Let alone the growing need for her because of our mating bond. The longer we haven’t completed the mating ritual the worse this gets.”

“We understand. But understand the more you stay away from her the harder it will become. You two must also develop a love and respect for each other as well. Getting to know each other in ways other than physical need, is equally as important and can help you.” Beta Adam explained to me.

A few more days past, making it hours before my 21st birthday. Me and Daquan decided to wait until the last minute to shift, to give me the chance to build my strength as much as possible. So, after my Physical training lesson with Daquan, and my Alpha lesson with Alpha John, I showered and put on a simple T-Shirt and shorts. As I walked out of my bedroom, a knock on my door brought me up short. Confused because I asked everyone to help keep her away from me. It's become second nature to smell the air to know who is knocking or coming to see me. And because of that, I knew who was at the door before they knocked! And I shouted out, without thinking, as my arousal skyrocketed and my heart started hammering in my chest!

“Carmen, we can’t be near each other!” I barked without thinking using Alpha Tongue before I noticed I was.

“I see your learning how to be an Alpha, and quickly. But you should know that Alpha tongue does not work on a true mate!” She explained to me with a little laugh, then she continued, “I’m not here to stop your progress. Also, understand I am one of the people you must fight during your test, so running from me is ridiculous. You won't be able to beat me if you don’t train with me. And lastly your birthday is tomorrow. So, I thought it maybe best to have you shift soon, or you will never be able too.”

As she spoke, I could feel her anxiousness through the door. As I laid my head on the door, I remembered Adams words. Also, I remembered what I read in my mothers Journals.

“The Luna’s of the Red Moon endure a range of emotions that is unknown to any normal One True Mate. The Luna’s never truly feel secure before the mating ritual. Maybe it’s the shift in the times manifesting into the culture of the Red Moon, maybe it’s The Red Alpha Mating ritual, and the understanding that the Red Moon Alpha’s can pick anyone else. No one really knows why, but it is a known phenomenon within the Red Moon. So, my dear son, when you meet your future Luna, it is your job to make her feel secure, loved, and respected. Because she will never feel calm, or comfortable once she found you, until she is bound to you. She will be your partner, your teammate, your everything. Your life will forever be connected Irrevocably, so help her through her range of over and under emotions.”

I opened the door and said the first things that came to mind, so she understood how I felt in my heart.

“Understand, I would love nothing more than to get to know you. Smell your sent, train with you and more. But all these different emotions and abilities make it impossible to be around you.” Once all the words were out, I finally laid my eyes on her. Not in passing, Not just getting a glimpse of her as she runs to her car in the morning to go to the Clinic. But a full-on unfettered view of her in all her Beauty. Heat ran through my veins and before I knew what was happening Kai was growling inside me fighting for control, in more ways than one.

“We must be strong and focus on training and growth, no matter how absolutely appetizing our mate looks.”

Kai said as he growled again, causing a growl to emanate from my throat while I braced myself on the door frame, doing all I can, with all my strength not to grab her and say the hell with everything. I tried to explain the muddle of emotions in me, to her,

“I want you more than I’ve wanted anything! I know it’s our wolves, and the Mating bond. And I know if we rush everything with us, it will hurt OUR, future Pack. And I can’t let that happen! We can’t let that happen!” I then let my eyes wander down her body, and as I breathe deeply, I can’t help but add, “No matter how delectable you smell.”

Carmen’s face shifted, to an awareness, then to a soft tenderness, and lastly to full on lust. The smell of her need for me became so intoxicating, when she launched herself at me before I could even react. Carmen started to kiss me with pure passion. Her kiss was so raw and hard it surprised me as I was pushed back into my door. At that moment my brain, my logic, went out of the window. I lifted Carmen up and she wrapped her legs around my waist. Caught up in my need for her, I used her butt to close the door, and slammed her into the door. After a minute of being so lost in her kiss, her body, and her scent, I stopped kissing her and said,

“Carmen!” with conviction, trying to warn her of the path we are so quickly heading down. I mean I’m trying my hardest here, but I am no damn Saint.

Carmen responded, “Lucas, shut up! And kiss me!” And with that I gave up on caring. I gripped her to me tighter and allowed my hands to graze every inch of her curves.

Carmen has the perfect body, Thick Hips and amazing chest. Not a skinny bean pole, every inch of her is soft and sensual. Touching her is heaven and once I start I never, ever wish to stop. I bit her lower lip, and growled at her,

“You have no idea, do you! How much you drive me crazy!” I started to kiss her again, running my hand up her body toward the valley of dreams between her legs. The smell of her arousal was making my mouth water and pushed me to the point where my brain no longer functioned and all I wanted and needed was to taste her. Before I can take the first step to remove Carmen’s pants, Kai screamed,

“No Lucas! Stop right now.” And before I could react, Kai was in control, and stepped far away from Carmen. Anger radiated off him in waves as he looked at Carmen. Then Kai asked Carmen.

“Do you understand what you’re doing, if you two allow the hormones of the four of us to run rampant before Lucas is ready!” Before Carmen could answer, Kai answered it for her,

“The death of all things, not just Werewolves. Of all people every where!”

“What do you mean!?” Carmen asked, with fear etched in every line of her face.

“I am the Reincarnation of the first Red Moon Alpha! The Red Moon is the only Pack of Werewolves with the ability to use the Alphas of the past to help the Alphas in the Future. But the First Alpha has never been called, do you know why!?” Kai asked.

“No! No, I don’t know.” Carmen said lowering her head.

Kai walked up to her, lifting her head. And looked at Carmen in her eyes!

“Do not lower your head to me, You and Melania are our mates, you are our equals, not beneath us so do not bow.”

Carmen acknowledged Kai and looked him in the eyes, encouraging him to continue.

“So, the truth is Lucas isn’t Normal! And neither are you! But In the Red Moon Pack, s*x is power. The connection between an Alpha and His Luna is important. Which is why we rather True Mates, over chosen Mates. That relationship brings a pure power to the entire pack. There is a prophecy that speaks of the two of you. You will learn the details about it soon enough, but this Prophecy needs the both of you to be at your strongest to survive it. And that’s why I’m here, to protect you both.” Kai then kissed Carmen’s forehead sweetly, then returned inward, giving me control of my body again.

When Carmen looked up, I was looking back at her, with a small sad smile. She softly grabbed my hand and told me.

“I understand, but you still need to shift before your birthday tomorrow. And I also have a gift for you.”

She pulled a gift out of her pocket and passed it to me and explained what the gift was and how it worked. It was one of the trinkets me and Daquan spoke about. A watch that helped mask my scent and mask Carmen scent, so we stop losing our mind when we are around each other. It was even blessed to shift with me, so I don’t have to take it off. I looked at the gift for a few mins, then up at her and spoke, choking a bit on my words.

“Thank you, and yes, I guess I should shift. And I would love to do it with you, for my first time.”

At that moment We both looked at each other, trying to hold in our laughter. But in the end, we could not hold it in, and started to laugh hysterically. Because we both noticed the double meaning in my statement, we couldn’t help but laugh. And it helped get so much of the pressure we were holding on our shoulder’s, off.

“Don’t worry I understand what you meant. Let’s go, this is going to be a treat for you.” Carmen said, with a bit of a laugh.

Carmen took me to the pack house edge where the woods begin and spread out.

“There is a water fall not that far, we can run there. You can also leave your clothes here so they can be retrievable when we return.” Carmen explained to me while pointing to a tin can.

“Okay, so what should I do to shift?” I asked.

“You and Kai are already developing a decent connection so this should be easy. You just need to connect to him, allow him to take the wheel, and soon you will feel the tug on the full body shift. Don’t fight it, just allow your body to shift.” Carmen explained,

“Easier said than done, but I’ll try.” I said, with a slight laugh.

“I understand your nervous, but it’s honestly something your body just does, so just let it flow through you. I’ll go first to give you an idea. Try your best not to stare.” Carmen said with a bit of a teasing laugh.

Carmen started to take her clothes off, and I watched Carmen, admiring her every curve.

“God I am a lucky man.” I said to myself.

“Yes, we are, but focus Lucas.” Kai said knocking me out of my daydream of Carmen’s body. Carmen with a slight laugh, shook her head expressing that I needed to calm my energy so we don’t repeat earlier, even though I would love to be buried between her legs.

“ENOUGH!” Kai yelled at me knocking me out of my daydream again. He continued, and said to me,

“You will have Carmen the rest of both of your lives, and that can be the next month, or it can be until your old and grey, it’s your choice.”

“Your right Kai, I’m sorry. This is all a lot, and new to me.” I responded.

“Your fine, you’re growing amazingly. Just stay focused and you will go a long way.” Kai explained. I focused my attention to Carmen as she changed into her wolf Melania, who now stand in front of me in greeting, encouraging me to also shift.

Kai explained to me, “Just like I’m able to take over your body as a human, I can as a werewolf. So you just have to let me take control”

I took a deep breathe, and started to take my clothes off. I could feel Carmen’s gaze like a fire all over my body.

I smiled lightly, as I allowed Kai to take control. As the shift came forward my bones began to snap and twist and break. The pain was both excruciating and soothing. Like I’ve been living my whole life in a corset and I’m finally allowed to take it off. My joints snapped and changed and contorted, then my skin began to itch all over and as I was about to reach out and scratch the irritation, Kai said to me “Just relax, don’t fight any of the feeling you feel. They will pass.” And Kai was right in a few seconds the Itching was gone, the painful breaking was done, and I stood on all fours, towering Carmen and Melania.

“So was that as painful as you thought.” Carmen asked me in mind speak.

“It wasn’t that bad, but.” I paused realizing Carmen just spoke to me in my mind! Thrown off and a bit confused I continue.

“Wait I thought I couldn’t mind speak until I reconnected the the Red Moon Pack!?”

“Lucas, did you forget we’re mates. That’s why I wanted to run with you. We are always able to mind speak. Even in human form.” Carmen explained

That floored me, all this time I could have been speaking to her getting to know her from a distance.

“I had no idea, that’s kinda cool.” I stated.

“Okay, Follow me! I have someplace to show you. Also it will give Melania and Kai time together.” Carmen said before the wolves took off.

Kai and Melania played and nipped at each other as they ran full out. I finally saw Kai happy, and a guilt hit me in my gut, for keeping him locked inside of me for so long. I apologize to Kai for all I did to harm him.

“I’m so sorry, it must have been hell.” I said to Kai alone.

“It was, but thank you. For caring.” Kai said everyone it seems. I guess me and Carmen were thinking the same thing.

“Wow, we truly are more linked than I even understand.” Carmen stated

“Yes, we are.” Melania said, and continued,

“Carmen, we are all here to bring a change. Kai is the reincarnation of the first Red Moon Alpha. What do you think that makes me? To make us compatible for Lucas and Kai!?”

“Melania does that mean!?” Carmen asked.

“In the beginning, in Africa, the goddess created werewolves as a protective species for the children of her brother, the humans. We were created to keep them safe from the creation her father and the other gods created before humans. The Gods fallen son and the maker of many monsters created as a mockery. These creatures created to punish his father, for punishing him. So, to protect the humans her brother created, The goddess began by creating Kai, the first alpha, and me the first Luna. Our children created the different Packs that became the 20 packs in existence today. But the Red Moon pack was the home and birthplace of all.” Melania explained.

“If you’re the first Luna, why was I born in the Blue Moon Pack!?” Carmen asked as we all continued to run threw the woods. Then she sent a question My way, “You knew all of this, didn’t you Lucas!?”

I breathed deeply and responded first,

“Yes, Kai and Adam have been teaching me a lot about the Red Moon History. But also my powers are starting to manifest. I can see past and future acts. As well as sense coming danger.”

Remembering the conversation with Beta Adam about my dreams, and the fact that they are my actual gifts and I’m seeing the past and future.

“And you Carmen, like the first Luna and the previous Luna of the red moon, will be able to plan, and teleport item/objects and people.” Melania also explained and continued,

“The blue moon pack is the pack where me and Kai’s first born started his Pack. He was a healer who married a human woman and started the Blue Moon pack.” I am with you because you were destined to be with Lucas and all the powers in you too, are ingredients needed.”

I listened as Carmen got a bit of the crash course I’ve been receiving. The Carmen creamed in all of our heads!

“WAIT! ME AND LUCAS ARE DISTANT RELATIVES!?” This led to Kai and Melania both laughing at Carmen and Kai answered,

“By your logic, love, all werewolves are distant relatives. And you will be correct. But you and Lucas are no more distant relatives as any other two werewolves would be.”

Melania then added on saying,

“Also remember that the two of you were picked because of how you were blessed. If the Goddess chose you that’s why. She has plans only she knows why.”

As Melania finished her statement we all reached the water fall.

As we reached the water fall a dream I had the previous night Came forward. A man sending wolves that seem like monsters towards us. This caused me to jerk to a stop. As alarm bells went off in my head.

I said to everyone via mind link,

“Wow, I think I Dreamt this. And if my dream is correct, I think it’s best if we head back.”

“What do you mean, Lucas what’s wrong!?” Carmen said to me, with a hint of anxiety In her tone.

In that moment someone came through the water fall. A familiar face from my dreams. From the mirror, and every time I look at Beta Adam. This man is obviously of my family line, which almost makes me cry, but definitely pisses me off.

“My, My, My, is that who I think it is. My great nephew, All grown up. Do you know how much I’ve looked all over for you.” The strange man said looking at me and Kai with a look I can’t quite describe.

Kai spoke to us all in urgency,

“You two aren’t ready for this fight, your not even fully mated. He is banking your ignorance Lucas. So we will start to retreat. Beta Adam and the Alpha of the blue moon created contingencies and policies just for this type of situation. We knew once Lucas’s powers were activated they would start to come for him. And the fact he is still a Rogue wolf, makes him weaker, even if he is a destined Alpha. They will be stupid to not choose now to attack.” We slowly back away as Kai continues,

“Give your body completely to me, and Melania. We have access to our full powers, and full mating bond, you don’t, so don’t interfere.”

The anger and anxiety of being protected again runs through me.

“I can do this, I don’t need you to protect me.” I shouted at Kai.

“This is not the time to fight with me Lucas! Do you want to gamble Carmen’s life with, being ready!”

Then an explosion went off to the left of us, hitting us, and blowing us off our feet.

“Where do you think your going Nephew! Your mine and your too weak to beat me!” The strange man continued while stalking toward us. Two grotesque looking wolves came out of the woods, just like in my dreams. They were Black, with blood red eyes with blood leaking from their mouths. They smelled rancid Like dead bodies and grave yard dirt.

“Get him, and her. You can hurt them but don’t kill them!” The strange man said to both of them.

Commandingly Kai said, “Up now! And run! Melania dawn formation.” And like that Kai was in control of my body. I can see the actions but I couldn’t even mind link with Carmen or even Kai. It was like I was pushed into the depths of myself. And all I could think of, is this how it felt for Kai when I would take the pills to drown him out. If so, I owe him everything. I owe him the world.

Kai and Melania both ran in a circular formation in opposite directions. Forcing the two beast to split up. At that time the both of them Howled loudly to get the attention of Alpha John, Beta Adam, and Daquan as we discussed when making these plans. Then, both Melania and Kai came back to back ready for the next step in their formation. It felt like a dance, easy as breathing, they understood each other’s every movement. As the two hybrids came closer. Kai stomped his front paw, to the earth, and we watched as the ground split. Then he started chanting it was a song he has been trying to teach me, a way that the Alpha wolves are about to manipulate the elements. While this distracted the hybrids, Melania stalked around quietly. Before they even noticed the speed, she had her teeth sunk deep in the neck of one of them, while the other was stuck on the other side of the crack in the earth. Kai joined Melania as they both got ready to attack final the hybrid. When out of the darkness, werewolves in human form and wolf form flooded the area. Two stopped by Kai and Melania and set the remains of one hybrid on fire, while Beta alpha and Gamma Richard killed the second hybrid and set it on fire.

From the moment my dream became real to now, only 4-5 minutes have passed. Making me feel like Elias was right about me after All. I’m no one’s Alpha!

“Soon you too with be just as strong. But know we have already put a lot in place to keep you safe until you get there. Me and Melania, are your teammates and your support. But you are the ones in charge and we need to get you prepared.” Kai said to us. But it didn’t remove the rock I felt in my stomach. The over whelming feeling that I didn’t deserve to be considered anyones Alpha.

After quickly shifting, Beta Adam runs to us and asked, “Are you two okay!?”

Carmen said, “We’re fine, Kai and Melania protected us, we did nothing.” Triggering and reminded me just how useless I am, causing me to also say, “Yeah I put us in danger, I should of known better, I dreamt this.” It’s the least I can do, warn people. Even though I’m weak and useless!

“You are not weak and useless! No one can blame you for the life you were forced to live! Kai said to me.

Beta Adam also looked at me with pain and sympathy and said,

“Lucas! You needed to shift before midnight tomorrow. You did what you were meant to. And because of the dreams and warnings you provided we were able to make plans for many possibilities with Kai over the past week. I keep telling you, your ready for this! You’re meant to be the Red Moon Alpha!”

To frustrated to hear everyones positive feed back I looked down and walked away, toward the pack house. I just needed space from everything, everyone.

Thanks to Carmen’s gift I didn’t feel Carmen following me.

“Talk to me, tell me what your feeling.” I stopped and looked at Carmen. It took to much to say my thoughts out loud so I willed my thoughts to her with mind Speak.

“I felt useless, and scared! I felt weak! And I never wanna feel that way again!”

“I understand, and we will get stronger, together! Everything coming, is on both of us. And we will become what we are destined to be, together!”

As her words settled in me, I breathed deeply, and grabbed her hand and kissed her lips ever so softly. Then in mind speak, with a chuckle I said.

“Let’s get some rest, tomorrow where going to be worked to the brink. I think it’s time you learn everything I know. And I learn what you know. We can’t continue to be separate in this. And your birthday gift is helping. Not 100 percent but enough to survive.” Carmen laughed and then said to me,“Well later today, not tomorrow! But first and foremost, today we celebrate your 21st birthday.” Carmen told me in mind Speak. She then leaned forward and kissed me lovingly on the lips and out loud said to me in the sweetest tone,

“Happy Birthday Lucas!”
