CHAPTER FIVE:TAKING ACTION

638 Words
I had to extend my stay what supposed to be to be a short break slowly turned into something else entirely, something heavier, something I couldn’t walk away from. I couldn’t leave, not when the truth about Daniel and Cassandra was finally starting to show itself, piece by piece. This time, I wasn’t running. I was preparing. With the help of Stanley and Jenna, I began to take control of my life again. It wasn’t easy, but it was important. For the first time in a long while, I felt like I was doing something instead of just reacting to everything happening to me. Stanley focused on my company. He worked quietly, almost like he didn’t want attention, but his results spoke loudly. He went through records, tracked transactions, and followed every trail he could find through the help of his other friends who were hackers. He uncovered hidden accounts, strange transfers, and deals that were clearly meant to push me out. Every day, he comes back with updates of small wins, but wins nonetheless. And those little victories reminded me that I hadn’t lost everything. Not yet. Jenna, on the other hand, took on Daniel and Cassandra. She was sharp, calm, and incredibly patient. She noticed things most people would miss and never rushed to conclusions. Exactly what I needed. She began connecting dots, building a case slowly but carefully. Still, even with her help, I knew something was missing. I needed someone closer to them. So, I hired a spy. At first, it felt strange. I wasn’t used to this kind of life, spying on people, moving in silence but I didn’t have a choice anymore. This was no longer just about what I had lost. It was about finding the truth and getting justice. The spy kept a close eye on Daniel and Cassandra. He followed them, learned their routines, and sent reports back to me regularly. Nothing was too small, every detail mattered. Where they went, who they met, what they said was all written down and delivered to me. And when they left their room, he went in. Carefully. Quietly. Like a shadow. Days turned into weeks. Waiting became the hardest part. Each report felt like a small drop of water hitting stone slowly, steady, but never quite enough. I wanted answers faster, but I knew this kind of work couldn’t be rushed. Then one day, everything changed. He came to me with documents. Real documents Proof. My hands trembled as I went through them. Papers, signatures, records everything they thought I would never see. My breath caught in my throat as I read through the pages. And there it was, my land.My house, my properties , everything that had been taken from me was right there, written clearly in black and white. For a moment, I couldn’t believe it. It felt unreal, like I was looking at someone else’s life but it was mine. A small smile formed on my lips, the first real one in a long time. It felt like I had found pieces of myself that I thought were gone forever. At least now, I knew the truth. At least now, I had something to fight with but that wasn’t all, there was more documents, more evidence. Strong, clear proof that tied everything together Daniel, Cassandra, their lies, their betrayal. This wasn’t just a guess anymore. It wasn’t just a feeling,It was the truth, Clear, solid and undeniable. I held the documents tightly, my heart steady for the first time in what felt like forever. The pain was still there, but it was different now. It wasn’t just pain, it was strength. They thought they had erased me, they thought I was gone for good but they were wrong and I came back. And this time, I wasn’t empty-handed
