Carl looked up from his desk and beckoned Harry into his office. ‘What’s happening with Lombardo?’
‘His prints match the bloodstained prints found in Clarke’s car, Boss. So, it looks like he’s been in the car and probably handled the body, given the prints are on the inside of the driver’s door.’
‘What’s he saying about it?’
‘Denying everything. Says he’s been framed but he doesn’t have an alibi for the weekend Clarke was killed. Claims he spent the weekend at home, even though we have a witness claiming she’d seen him in Swan’s car in Ashcroft on the Monday after, the same day Clarke’s car was found between Ashcroft and North Summit.’
