DC Templar waved Carl over to her desk as he made his way through the squad room to his office. ‘Take a look at this, Inspector.’ She pointed to her screen.
‘What have you got?’
‘Richard Clarke’s number is in Gail Swan’s call log. They were exchanging calls months before she started calling his father.’
‘That’s interesting.’
‘Do you think he could have been having an affair with her as well?’ said DC Templar.
‘Don’t know,’ said Carl. ‘See what he has to say about it. What about his brother? Is his number on her call log?’
‘No, Justin’s number isn’t listed.’
‘How did you and Nigel get on with her ex?’
‘Claims he hasn’t seen her since their divorce,’ said DC Templar, ‘and his number’s not in her call log.’
‘What did he have to say about her?’
