“On the eastern side of Beaynid and Ventra rages the Carnaid Sea. This sea is unique from all other known bodies of water in that it is a bright red color. Its seas are rough for most of the year and not safe to sail upon during the winter. A cold and scouring wind almost constantly blows off of its ruddy horizon. However, that is not the strangest thing about this sea. For reasons unknown to modern science any mammals that spend anything but the briefest amount of time in the waters will be bleached white! Fish do not seem to be affected by this uncanny phenomenon and the white dolphins and small whales that navigate the sea do not seem harmed by their pale coloring.”
