TRUEBLOOD (TORN BETWEEN TWO)

One Family

DARK ABYSS.

Maddie and Shirley sat on their respective thrones,currently being massaged with the flames of a Dragon who also rubbed its tail on their legs simultaneously. They both moaned,feeling relaxed by the soothing massage.

Suddenly, a creature walked in and stopped before them. The creature seemed to be a powerful one because his aura,though hidden,commanded them to bow in fear and respect. Both ladies who seemed to be disturbed by its presence sat up.

"Relax little sister,its me,your brother" it said and Maddie immediately smiled.

"What do you seek of brother?" She asked.

"I'm here for a business" he replied.

Maddie knew her brother was up to something, that business meant something.

"What sort of business is that?" She asked.

"You know the Multibreed? Well,I'm here for him." He replied.

"The Multibreed hungh? I'm also after him but I am not aware he's back" she stated. Shirley on the other hand just looked at the sinister siblings continue their discussion.

"So why did you decide to drop by today? I know you need some help" she asked.

"You're right little sister. Tell me,is that your lover?" He inquired. Maddie turned to Shirley and blew a kiss to her.

"Yes she is. So what help do you want?"

The creature, still unknown stood for a while,thinking. "Let's do it the old fashion way,I need some Demons" he said.

"Sure brother. Take any one of them. But what do you intend to do?" She asked.

"I'm taking the chaos Wolves out first"

The dark yet cool effect of the night rested on the dark surrounding of the forest.

A truck zoomed trough the roads,causing waves of dust to rise and fall on the ground. In the truck was a middle aged man who,totally naked,had a ciggeratte stuck between Hus huge lips.

He had a tired look on his face but his driving told otherwise. He had just driven four miles into the forest when he felt something zoom past his truck.

Scared,he stepped on the accelerator, increasing the speed of his vehicle.

A Mile further,her relaxed,sure he was safe from whatever was in the woods. Just when he thought it was all over,he felt something collide against his truck and the impact threw the two ton vehicle sideways,making it roll like a ball.

Eventually the vehicle stopped rolling and it got into a peaceful state.

The man, lucky he was alive, unbuckled the seatbelt and got out of the car. He crawled a few feet from it and his gaze landed on the feet of a creature which instead of normal toes,had long,sharp claws that shone under the reflection of the moon.

He looked up,more astounded as he realized the creature had a human body. Then at the chest region of the man was a hairy frame,wider than a normal human's

He looked further above and finally rested his gaze on the creature which had the head of a Lycantrophe. He gasped in shock,trembling like the leaves of a tree.

"Well well. Its dinner time" the creature said,squaring his prey.

"Please...Please don't kill me" the man pleaded,scared to his bones.

"Poor human. I wish I won't but I'm hungry. I NEED TO EAT SOMETHING!" He yelled,making the man whimper in fear.

"Please don't eat me. I promise I won't tell anyone" he pleaded,now in tears. The creature scoffed and looked at the sky,feeling a charge he couldn't control...Hunger.

"I've forgotten my manners...Never play with your food" it stated and in one swipe,he grabbed the man,tearing him into pieces. He plunged his teeth into the thick flesh of his prey,relishing his meal.

Minutes later,he was done and left after he inscribed the words "DOOM" on the ground with the blood of his victim.

DYCHES' MANSION.

The living room was lively as a party was being held in the mansion. The party which was thrown to mark Abel's return from his journey to battle his nemesis was in a full swing as the guests entertained themselves with drinks,chats,dance and music.

Right in the center was Abel who was dancing to the song booming from the large speakers hung around the area. Before him was Sharon who faced him,dancing equally to the song. They were also joined by Sean and Dean who ensure they captivated the minds of the guests with mind blowing break dance moves.

Just when they thought they had stolen the show,Drake and Drex joined in, captivating everyone with their stunts.

Eventually the song ended with everyone cheering them.

"Man that was intense" Dean and Sean said,walking up to the bar in the living room, grabbing a shot of Tequila.

"Yeah...I never knew Abel had it in him" Drake complemented, pouring himself a glass of TRUEBLOOD.

"It's just good to have you back bro. Three months without you was really stressful" Drex added.

"Well I'm back now guys and I hope we're all gonna rock things tonight" Abel said and was complemented by cheers from his friends.

"How about a toast?" Sharon suggested.

"A toast?" The rest of the gang questioned.

"Yeah. A toast to Abel's safe return. A toast to a new year and lastly...A toast to our TRUEBLOOD pack" she toasted and they all clicked their glasses.

"To TRUEBLOOD pack" they all cheered and gulped down the contents of their drink.

Sean who hadn't said any thing since the beginning of the conversation got up and left for his room. It was obvious something bothered him and he wasn't ready to share it.

"What's his problem?" Abel asked,disturbed by Sean's mysterious behavior.

"I'll go and talk to him. Enjoy the party guys" Dean replied and followed the direction Sean took.

"So guys. Anything fun?" Abel asked,facing the vampire duo.

"Not sure. How about we prank some soldiers?" Drake suggested.

"You're crazy..."

Dean opened the door of he and Sean's bedroom and shut it as he got in. He stared at Sean who concentrated on his phone,playing a game.

"What's your problem bro?" He asked.

The latter didn't reply,rather he continued using his phone.

"Bro. You have to answer me. What was that s**t all about?" He asked. Still,Sean ignored.

"Okay I'm asking one last time. What was that all about?" He yelled.

"Shut the f**k up bro. I feel like we're deceiving Abel" he yelled in return.

"What do you mean?" Dean asked.

"What do I mean? Have we told him the truth? We have two big secrets connected to him and he's yet to know" Sean replied.

"So? Is that why you're been a b***h?" Dean questioned.

"I'm not being a bitch... You are." Sean fired back. His reply shut his brother up and relative silence ensued the room.

"You know bro. I'm sorry. It's just that I feel he is here and when Abel gets to know before we tell him,he's gonna hate us and that is one thing I wouldn't want since he's helped us a lot. He's my sister's mate. He's family" Sean voiced out.

"I get you bro but don't worry,we'll tell him at the right time." Dean assured,wrapping his arm around his brother's shoulders.

"Let's just have fun tonight" he added with a smile.

"Sure" Sean replied and they left the room,happier than before.

In a huge fish store on the outskirts of Beijing was Dwayne who sat behind the counter. He had a smile on his face...A smile that covered the sorrow buried deep into his heart. He missed the only two people he knew as family. He missed Cole and Shirley who had mysteriously disappeared without a trace.

His heart felt heavy as he remembered the good times he spent with them. Not wanting to remember hurtful memories,he quit his job as an officer of the law and moved into China with Yu Yuan and Jim and had now become his own attendant at the fish store he opened.

The day was unusually boring with barely enough customers patronizing him.

He was about to close up when Yu Yuan walked in,dressed in an elegant gown.

"Hey boo" she greeted,giving him a light Peck on the lips.

"Hey babe. You look stunning" he replied, holding her by her waist.

"Yes I am" she replied,giggling as he placed light pecks on her neck.

"So what's the occasion?" He asked. She suddenly broke off his grip and turned to face him.

"Seriously?" She questioned, sounding serious.

"What?" He asked,raising his shoulders up.

"So you don't know? You know what? I'm outta here. Goodnight" she said and just as she was about to leave, an explosion of confetti hit her and a huge sign dropped from the ceiling. On it was the sentence. "Happy Birthday to the Lady of my dreams".

She looked in Dwayne's direction and smiled. The latter had already changed into a nice tuxedo.

"So where's the party?" She asked.

"Its a surprise" Dwayne replied and led her out of the store into his SUV and they drove off.

The Dyches who were having a silent and peaceful breakfast were suddenly disturbed by Abel's scream.

"What's wrong with him? He's been acting weird since he returned" Alpha Alfred asked no one in particular.

"Well,he's kinda freaked out I guess" Sharon defended,slurping another roll of noodles. Just then,Abel appeared right before them, having a distraught look.

"What?" Sean questioned.

"Morning guys but have you read the news this morning?" He asked.

"What news?" Mrs Dyche asked.

"This news" he replied. He showed them his phone and on the screen was displayed a headline.

'MAN MYSTERIOUSLY BUTCHERED IN FOREST'

They all picked their phones and scrolled on their news feed. They read the major article which stated how a man who was declared missing by his family's body found,butchered into different parts during the midnight.

"This is bad" Dean stated and rounded up his breakfast.

"Where are you going to?" Mrs Dyche asked as he walked towards the door.

"I'm going to the crime scene" he replied.

"Your son's stupid dear" Alpha Alfred groaned.

"Don't say that Alfred. Honey,you can't go there now." She said.

"But mom,this doesn't seem like a normal murder. Whoever or whatever did that is a supernatural" he protested.

"Yes honey I know but you still have to calm down. Later tonight,you and your friends would go to the crime scene and investigate whoever did that" She affirmed.

"I'm sure it's going to leave it's scent or DNA there by tonight so it's a date" Sharon chirped in.

"Okay kids...So,about today. You kids are helping to distribute palliatives. The virus isn't gone yet" Alpha Alfred instructed.

"But dad,I've got a martial arts class today" Sean protested.

"Well it'll have to wait. As soon as you guys are done with your chores" he added and resumed to his meal.

"This is gonna be a long day" Abel groaned and left for his bedroom.

Dean and Sean appeared right in the forest where the m******e happened. The crime scene had been cleared by then and they were unsurprised to see that the carcass had been taken away. Sean squatted on the spot where the man had been murdered and saw something interesting. "A bear shifter's footprints" he said,looking at Dean who was snooping around.

Just then,Dean's eyes caught something interesting...Blood. He walked to the area where he saw the already faded blood and read the inscription. "DOOM" He stated and as he said that,something threw him backwards, resulting in a heavy crash.

"Are you alright bro?" Sean asked.

"I dunno. I was just thrown back by something" Dean replied. Suddenly,a couple of darts shot at them and they dodged. They looked in the direction the darts came from and they were shocked to see the creature they dreaded...Doom.

"Well well,if it isn't the Chaos Wolves?" He asked,walking up to them. A few feet from them,he stopped.

"Doom,what do you want?" Dean asked. He had a deadly look on his face that told he was ready to kill the opponent.

"Oh what do I want? You know what I want" Doom replied.

"Trust me Doom,you aren't getting it" Sean replied. Doom chuckled lightly and said. "I wonder how brave you kids are. To see you're willing to protect your friend you've betrayed long enough,it's just stupid"

This statement made Dean angry and he attacked Doom blindly,shooting fireballs at the latter's direction. Doom swerved left,evading the fireball that burned everything it came upon contact with.

"Jeez you've got that anger. I like it" he said,having a menacing smile on his face. "It's just sad that both of you don't stand a chance against me" he added and in a flash,appeared behind them and drove his arms into their backs. Just in the nick of time,they spun,grabbing his arms and flipped him over.

As soon as he landed,they struck him simultaneously, sending him backwards. He took his stand and a mischievous smile crept on his face.

"Why are you smiling i***t?" Sean sneered.

"Because...You fell right into my trap and immediately as he said that,a beam of light glowed from a circle surrounding the boys.

"s**t,boundary spell" they muttered. Immediately after that,they fell on the ground and passed out cold.

"Foolish children. Now,to get the others" he said and Maddie's Demons took the boys away.

The guys were busy distributing the palliatives to the less privileged as instructed and were about to get to the last house when they heard a scream from the house. It was an old cottage which an old woman and her granddaughter lived and the scream sounded like her granddaughter's.

"Guys did you hear that?" Abel asked,c*****g his face in the house's direction.

"Yeah. Let's get in" Sharon replied and they all approached the house fast. They got to the door and kicked it open. Instantly,they froze at the sight before them...There was the old lady,pale as a broom while her granddaughter's legs were hanging from the window.

Abel quickly rushed to the window and met the shock of his life...A creature he had never seem before...one that looked so odd. Its head was a Lycantrophe's while it had a pale body and rough legs like a Demon's.

It was grabbing the girl who was screaming in fear. Without thinking twice,Abel jumped down,driving a blow to the creature's face. It let go of the girl,feeling the pain that resulted from the blow.

"Well well Multibreed. It seems fate has us crossing paths" it said,sending shivers into Abel's spine.

"Who are you and what do you want from me?" Abel interrogated.

"Oh me? I'm something you won't like. I won't tell you what I am but I AM DOOM" It replied in a deep voice

"Doom? Is that a kind of creature I haven't heard about? You should really consider naming yourself cos your name sucks" Abel replied and rushed towards Doom.

He sent three consecutive blows to his face and abdomen and stopped. He was shocked to see Doom in one piece. Hale and hearty.

"Not every one can be hurt that way" Doom said,chuckling.

"But...You can" he added and in the twinkle of an eye,had delivered five destructive blows to Abel's face. Abel staggered got up immediately but he still saw hazy images. He couldn't believe that would affect him.

"What do you want from us?" He asked again,angry.

"Oh what I want? I want you dead" Doom replied.

"That is the smallest of things I can do...Dying" he replied. Just then,Sharon,Drake and Drex jumped in,pushing him back with their landing force.

" Curse you all. Oh,purebloods. Its been a while since I killed one" he said,chuckling evilly.

"Are you alright Abel?" Sharon asked,helping the latter up. "Yeah,I'm fine" he replied.

"That thing's powerful" he warned, pointing at Doom.

"We'll take him down" she assured.

Immediately, Drake and Drex launched themselves at Doom,piercing him with their claws. Upon contact,their claws retracted and they fell. With the flick of his fingers,he levitated both of them in the air and at the swipe of his claws,they were thrown yards back,hitting their backs against the house.

Sharon teleported behind him, wrapping her hair around him. She shot plasma balls at him and he absorbed the attack,shooting the beam of light back at her. She let go of him,shocked with the intensity he repelled.

Abel Swooped in,transforming into a Goblin,he tore his skin and shot his blood at Doom's eyes,blinding him momentarily. He threw three rapid attacks at the latter and with a roundhouse kick,sent him to the ground. Doom immediately recuperated,impressed with Abel's quick reflexes. "Impressive. I expected more from you but this... It's just impressive" he said,clapping.

"What the hell do you want you son of a b***h?" Abel yelled.

"Like I said,I want you dead" Doom replied.

"Why?" Drex asked.

"You see. He's hot in the market. Every supernatural wants him dead, especially me. So...How do you expect me not to make a move especially after he killed himself." Doom explained.

"You'll never succeed you asshole" Sharon cursed.

"My my. Isn't it Alfred's daughter,Sharon Dyche? *pauses*. Oh you don't remember me? Well...Does this ring a bell?" Doom asked and immediately morphed into a Dragon. Immediately after that,he morphed into a Demon.

"Oh no...Doom" she called,scared.

"Now you know. Oh,Abel...you don't know anything about this? Well,let them fill you in. I'll be back" he said and disappeared instantly.

Abel faced Sharon with a curious look and asked. "What was he talking about?"

"Don't worry Abel,we'll talk when we get home she replied.

"No I want an answer now" he yelled.

"Okay" she said and sighed.

"Doom is a Multibreed" she stated. Her statement shocked Abel and the rest who had no idea of what all the drama was about.

"A Multibreed? I thought I was the only one" he muttered.

"No Abel. Let's be honest, we've hidden some things from you. Doom was one Multibreed that wanted to kill us years ago. We had to make a deal with him. We told him that when the Multibreed arrives,he'll Kill him instead of us." She explained.

"Are kidding me? You traded my soul for yours?" Abel yelled,furious. He couldn't believe he had been traded long before he knew what he was.

"I'm sorry Abel. We thought he wouldn't return. Unfortunately he did,that was when you were taking on the Chaos Wolves. He said he'd help you kill the dark one so your battle would be quick but we were wise to object,knowing he'll kill you easily so he left. Now he's back...I don't really know why he wants to Kill you but I'm sorry" she explained.

Abel scoffed then looked up in the sky. "Sorry? You f*****g traded my soul for yours. I lost my mother and Darak when he could have just helped me end my s**t but no,you rejected his offer. Don't you know waking up without either of them makes me dead inside? Now you're sorry" he growled.

"I'm sorry Abel. Please I'm sorry" she apologized.

"Sorry? I've had enough of this s**t. I'm leaving" he yelled and instantly teleported away from there.

"That's messed up" Drake said,wrapping his arm against Sharon's shoulder. "But we'll fix it,He's going to be fine" Drex added.
