Guthrie didn’t have to wait long before Alisdair appeared at the door. He jogged across to the car, opened the door and nestled into the passenger seat. He didn’t give Guthrie time for small talk.
“What was all that about?”
“Teri Donaldson is Mitchell’s step-daughter.”
Alisdair turned in his seat. His mouth was open, and he had a look of disbelief on his face. “What?” he said.
“You heard me. Your Miss Donaldson is Douglas Mitchell’s step-daughter.”
Alisdair chose to ignore the your remark. “How...? Why...?” however, was all he could say.
