“You still have no evidence and no real suspect for Gant's murder. That's really what you're telling me?" His brow was furrowed and had been all through the quick briefing. He stared at Guthrie.
Guthrie's blood pressure went up a notch. "Ian, that's not entirely true."
"I didn't hear much that would convince me otherwise. Do you have anyone in the frame at this point?"
"I think Mitchell has to be our prime suspect." Guthrie shot a glance towards Alisdair who remained non-committal.
"Okay. Why?" asked Buchanan.
"Seems to me that he has more of a motive than anyone. He lost his job. Lost face with people around him because of that. Certainly damaged his relationship with his brother-in-law."
