Joseph dragged her all the hallway down to Bea´s room. He threw her in and roared impatiently - Make it shut up!! - he slammed the door and left them in darkness.
Alice quickly stood up from the floor and ran to the tiny bed. Her sister wasn’t an “it”. She carefully held her and comforted her. She took her downstairs and searched for something to give her. She tried to be silent but failed when a bottle of aspirin flew off the counter.
- Ali? - a very sleepy Nicky came in, rubbing her eyes and yawning
- Help - she mumbled in panic with a crying Bea in her arms at the edge of exploding in weeping.
Nicky quickly and efficiently took her and carried her away. Ali kept looking in the cabinet until she found the pediatric medicine and quickly ran back to catch them.
