I was still thinking of how to reply to Kyle when he literally poured cold water on my racing heart. At that moment, I understood what it means to communicate with a straightforward guy. He was really so annoying at this point.
The fact that he was apologizing sincerely for every word he said really got on my nerves. How were we supposed to talk if he kept apologizing like that.
I just decided to leave, I thought it was better that way, but when I heard Kyle desperately calling me to stay back I almost wavered. I knew it was best to just leave though. I needed to calm down before I would say something I would regret.
