Chapter 3

Selena’s POV “What do you mean by being a boy?” I asked, not ready to accept what she was suggesting. “No offense, but you've got pretty nice boobs.” Michelle complimented. “Oh, thank you. What's the offense?” “I can easily press it down with a piece of white bandage, and no one would know it's there.” Michelle said. “I hate you.” I beat her playfully, and she chuckled. She was right though. I do have pretty boobs, but they're also small. I also have a very flat backside, unlike Michelle who has loads of both front and back loads. The only thing I could brag about against anyone was my face card, and my intelligence , which eluded me several times. “So, if we press both down, and I start dressing like a boy, what would happen to my hair?” I asked, and she looked at it. “We'll cut the sides, and I'll make it into cornrows, so you'll look like a boy.” Michelle said. “A pretty boy.” “f**k, this is a bad idea.” I sighed. “It is, but at least it'd work. The boys might be fighting to bend you over though, because you'd be so pretty.” She chuckled. “Okay, that's not helping.” I hissed, taking deep breaths. “My bad.” She said, going to her wardrobe. She got her clipper, and a set of things she'd use to make the cornrows. “What about my scent? Anyone would easily sense that I'm a girl once they smell me.” I said. “Oh my God. I didn't think of that. We're so f****d. The plan is going to fail.” She said in a very sarcastic manner. “What do we do now?” “Okay, just tell me what it is.” I rolled my eyes. “I have a witch ready to meet us outside the walls. She can do stuff like that for the right amount.” She said, and I chuckled. “I have enough money, I guess.” I shrugged. “Speaking about that, I'll need you to take all the money you have, and send it to me. I've gotten you another account.” Michelle said. “Your mother can easily trace the present one using your bank transactions to get your location.” “f**k, you think so well.” I muttered, clicking the keys of my phone. She made the cornrows perfectly, and she was trimming my edges with her clipper when there was a knock on the door. Michelle walked to the door, and I could smell Chloe all over the place immediately she opened it. “What is it?” Michelle asked with her mean voice. “Please, is Selena in there?” Chloe asked. “Why?” “My mom's looking for her.” She said, and then took a deep sniff. “So, she's here.” My heart skipped a few beats. “Hello mum, She's…” Chloe said when Michelle yanked her phone off her hands, pulled her inside the room, and then knocked her out unconscious. “Sorry, but we have to move this s**t faster.” She said, signalling for me to hurry. She finished up with my hair, and anytime Chloe was close to waking up, she'd knock her out again. It was fun to watch. Chloe's the snitch, and she's Matthew's daughter which makes it very understandable. “So, let's get out of here.” Michelle said, tying Chloe to the bed. We rushed out through the side gate to the woods where we met a witch. I wasn't feeling so confident about my new supposed boyish look until she spoke. “Damn, who's this pretty boy?” The witch asked. “I think I want you to hit my wax tonight.” “Erm… I'm a girl, sorry.” I said, and the look of sheer disappointment on her face even made me feel better about it. I felt on top of this plan. “You want to mask your scent to that of a boy's?” She asked, and I gave an affirmative nod. “Well then, let's get to it.” The witch laid out a dark cloth on the forest floor. It was filled with tiny jars, dried herbs, bones, and little vials of glowing liquid that gave off a faint silver light. The only sounds were the gentle breeze and the crackle of the fire she lit in the center of her setup. “Sit,” the witch said, pointing to a smooth stone beside the fire. I obeyed, staying very calm. Michelle stood behind me, keeping her hand on my shoulder. “You're doing good,” she whispered. “Just breathe.” The witch knelt in front of me and opened a small jar of crushed herbs. She sprinkled them into the fire, and it let out a puff of blue smoke. I coughed, and the witch grinned. “This will sting,” she warned, holding up a glass dropper filled with a glowing blue liquid. She let a single drop fall onto my forehead. It burned. Not like fire, but like ice crawling through my skin, rushing through my veins, making my whole body tingle. I gasped and grabbed my chest, my skin shivering even though I wasn’t cold. The witch began to chant in a language I didn’t understand. Her voice was low and slow at first, then faster and louder. The smoke swirled around me, thick and blue, wrapping my body like a blanket. I started to feel different, lighter in fact. Not just outside, but inside too. My scent, the one wolves like my mother and the police wolves could smell from a mile away, was fading. I knew it. The fire flared one last time, then died down, leaving just embers. The smoke vanished. The witch opened her eyes and looked me up and down. “There,” she said. “You’re just a regular, pretty little boy now.” I looked at Michelle, and she gave me a thumbs-up. “It worked. I can’t smell you.” “I feel… weird,” I admitted. “But also… kind of strong.” “You should. That spell lasts as long as you want it to. Break it, and you’ll be you again.” “Thank you,” I told the witch, who was now rummaging through her things. “Pleasure doing business,” she said. “Oh, and don’t get caught. I don’t do refunds.” We laughed. Kind of. Michelle escorted me to the borders of Clawstone Academy, our twin academy just for boys. “The only thing I ask of you is to tell me the boy with the biggest rod, and also, don't text me until three days from now just for safety, and use the new number.” “Don't forget to give my mom the piece of paper.” I said. “How would I forget to do something that my whole body aches for?” Michelle said and we giggled. I hugged her before she could even stop talking because I was already missing her. I finally found the strength to walk into the school. It was late at night, but I was still able to do the registration. The registrar had no problem believing I was Seth. In no time, he was leading me to my room. Apparently, I'm sharing rooms with an Alpha In training. He was quite a big deal, and since Seth is also from a very rich family, he is a big deal too, which means I am. He opened the door, and someone turned back to look at us. My heart paused for a second as I saw the color of his eyes, and the magnificent beauty he possessed. He was tall and handsome. His blue eyes were already working on me, and I was already so into him. “This is your roommate, Peter.” The registrar said. “Hi, I'm Peter. Peter Smith.”
