“I just want to get to know him better so I can know how to handle him,” I replied sheepishly trying to savour the situation and not give Mr. Harry any hint on what I was thinking right now.
“Hmm," he gave me a look as if he wasn't convinced. "If you say so then, just don't do anything stupid. You can let me know if you need my help with anything,” he said, trying to act like he cared so much about me, but I knew it was just a facade.
He was only trying to curry favor with me. Of course, knowing the future Alpha was like a sure ticket to a promising future.
I just assured him that I would be careful before walking away from his office. I knew if I stayed for too long, I might end up saying something else that could require me to make another explanation.
