I watched as my little girl played outside, basking in the sunshine. I wish I could be there, but Carly is. If me and Zane go out and join them, she will leave. I despise having to choose between my brother and my mate, but he has to choose as well.
Carly made it very clear she didn’t want two mates. We practically had to pretend each one didn’t exist. It’s soul destroying having to pretend that my best friend is nonexistent, even though we live under the same roof.
Freya must be so confused, as she rarely sees me and Zane together. I hope she doesn’t grow up thinking she only has one dad or with Carly’s beliefs. Carly may be our mate, but her attitude is disgusting.
