Summer’s POV
I can tell they sought the kid’s advice. The effort they have made is mediocre at best. But I come here frequently with my children. It is our special family spot. It’s something I do with them, so that I get a small amount of peace while they play.
It would have been nice to have been taken on a date. Been able to get dressed up. Enjoy a meal cooked by someone else. Maybe even have a dance with someone taller than me. Made me feel special and being told I looked beautiful. I can’t say I wasn’t disappointed because I was.
Still, I need to be positive that they spoke to the kids. They tried.
