I am so nervous. I am going to be meeting the other ranked members of the pack. Hudson said they were excited about meeting me though, so it should be fine. But it is terrifying for me. Especially from what I remember of my last pack. What if they don’t like me when they meet me? Will Hudson reject me and send me away? I hope not. I never thought I would ever find my mate in the first place. So finding him was a huge surprise, and now I actually want to see where things will go from here. I think he is really nice, and I enjoy being around him already, so I don't really want to leave here. We had just finished our breakfast that I had made, and he looked up at me as I was grabbing the dirty plates to take to the sink. “I talked with the ranked members. I asked them to meet me in my office. I figured you could meet them there instead of in front of the whole pack. Might be less intimidating that way.” I nod, “Thank you for thinking of me about that. I was worried about meeting them honestly. I do not remember much about the pack I ran from but what I can remember is not great. I know that the ranked members were absolutely awful to unranked or lower-ranked members, so I will not lie, I am nervous about meeting them…” “I promise you that they will not do anything to you. And if you are worried about me rejecting you, then get that thought out of your head as well. I would never do that. I have been searching for you for a while and nothing is going to take you away from me. I would give up my Alpha position and leave with you right now if I needed to do that. So do not worry about that, Alright?” I smiled at him, “Thank you. That does make me feel a little better about the whole thing. The kitchen is all cleaned up, so let me get dressed, and then we can go to your office so I can meet everyone.” He smiles at me and nods, “Alright. See you in a minute then.” I head back to my room and go to the closet to pick something out. I do not have many clothes, so I have no clue what I will wear… When I opened the door I had to do a double take. There was way more clothing in here than when I went to bed last night. I knew this was not here when I put my clothes away… “Hudson?” “Yes?” “Who do these clothes belong to and when did they get here?” He walked into the room smiling at me, “My mom went shopping with some of the other ranked ladies. She got your size from some of the clothing you brought with you, and they picked a bunch of things. If there is anything missing or things you don’t like, just let someone know. I am sure the ranked women will want to go shopping with you to help you get everything you might need haha. They never need an excuse to go shopping, but I am sure they would be excited about one.” I nod and smile, Wow, the fact they went to all this trouble for me is amazing, really. I have never had this many clothes in my life. Well, let’s see what I have here. I dug through everything and finally picked out a nice light sweater and some skinny jeans paired with some boots. Nice enough outfit but not formal. I still want to be comfortable, and it has been a while since I have worn some nice jeans. I head to the bathroom and get cleaned up, then put on my outfit. I braid my hair down the side and head back to the kitchen to meet up with Hudson. “I’m ready to go if you are.” He turns and looks at me, “You look wonderful. Let’s go, everyone is already waiting for us. They are really excited. The girls especially, haha.” I laughed with him, and then we headed out the door. I loop my arm through his, and I feel him tense at first, then relax. I guess he wasn’t expecting me to do that haha. Sapphire is purring in my mind at the closeness of our mate. I know she is really happy he found us. She was pretty sad, thinking we would never find our mate and that she would never get the chance to be in a pack again or around other wolves. They need that closeness and connection with each other, it is very lonely when they have no pack to call home. I am happy for her, and I am hoping nothing goes wrong here so that we can stay, and she can be happy again. As we were headed down the stairs, we ran into this young looking girl. I believe she is an omega from her aura. She is glaring at me openly when she notices me arm in arm with Hudson. Next thing I know, she lets out a low growl. Hudson is shocked by it and then growls back at her, causing her to tilt her head in submission, “What are you thinking growling at my mate? And why are you even up here on the Alpha floor? This is not where you are normally, so what are you doing up here?” She glances up at Hudson but does not meet his eyes, “I was just coming up to check on you, Alpha. I did not see you at breakfast… And I am sorry I growled at her. I did not know she was your mate.” She is still glaring at me. Hudson also notices this, “Well, you have no right to come to the Alpha floor, Sasha. You know this. And you need to stop glaring at my mate. I will be talking to Shannon about this and seeing if we need to move you elsewhere for your duties. This is not OK and you know this. Now head back to your room for the day. I will be discussing your actions with Shannon later, and we will figure out what to do with you.” She glares at me again and nods before storming off down the stairs. “I have no idea what that was about, but I will be finding out. She is not supposed to be up here and that was extremely strange the way she reacted towards you. Come on, let’s not let this ruin our day.” I nod and look after the little omega as she marches down the stairs. Well, things are going to get very interesting here, it seems. We headed down the stairs to his office. I take a deep breath to calm my nerves, and he smiles at me, then we open the door and head in. Here goes nothing…
