Everyone is so nice here. It is night and day from what I can remember of my last pack. And the fact that Hudson is being so understanding and kind about me taking my time to get to know him and everything is just amazing. Alpha wolves are normally so quick to just claim their mate, and yet he is willing to wait until I am ready. It is so wonderful. I sat down at the table with him so we could eat the food that the omegas brought up for us. It smells heavenly. I can not remember the last time I have had food like this. But my mouth is watering just from the smell of it. Baked potato, steak, salad, pasta salad, everything that i have not had in ages haha. I am so excited to dig in. I waited until he sat down though, because I did not want to be rude and dig in before he was ready. After he sat down, I started eating, and I could not help the small moan that left my mouth. I blushed, “I am so sorry. I have not had food like this in a long time, and it is just amazing. It tastes so good. Much better than anything I could make over the fire.” He laughs at that and smiles, “How long have you been out on your own anyway?” I look up at him, “I was ten when I left that hellhole. And I never ever would want to go back there. They treated me like a slave, and I was beaten and starved for ‘not having a wolf’ even though I did. They just could not sense her and, since I am scentless, they thought I was just a human basically that they could keep as a slave. I have been able to shift since I was six years old though. Sapphire is as big as an Alpha wolf and I have unique abilities. Honestly, I never thought I would find my mate either, since I have no scent and I figured my mate would not want me. Plus, with Sapphire being the size of an Alpha wolf, I figured that would be a problem for my mate as well.” He looks at me sadly, “That is awful. I am so sorry that you had to go through all that. I am glad you were able to escape. You seem to have been able to do well for yourself still on your own, which is amazing in its own right. And just so you know, I did not think my mate would want me either haha. I thought, since I am a scentless Alpha, that she would not want anything to do with me and that I would be alone forever. I figured I would need to just choose a successor or take a chosen mate. I have been holding out though, because I have never wanted anyone except my Goddess-given mate. And I am so very happy to have found you and that you have accepted me. I promise you that I will never treat you as anything less. You are my equal, and you will be treated as such. And if anyone from this pack ever treats you as anything less than the amazing woman that you are, you let me know, and we will handle it together. Do you remember anything from that pack though? The name? The Alpha’s name? Anything?” I think really hard about it. “No. I think I just blocked all of it from my memories. Why?” “Because I want to make sure that they are not allies of this pack. If they are, I want to cut ties as soon as possible. I will not be associated with a pack that can treat one of their members as badly as they treated you. Especially a child. That is unacceptable.” I smiled at him, “Thank you. If I ever do remember anything about them, I promise to let you know immediately. So, when you say that you would have taken a chosen. Did you already have someone in mind?” I really do not want to know, but I feel like I need to know, just in case maybe I will see that person in the pack at some point. “No, I did not have someone in mind. I figured the Elders would choose someone for me and I just would have to accept it. But thankfully they understood that I just wanted to search for my mate first. They gave me a time frame. I was told that if I did not find my mate by the time I was twenty-five that I would have to take a chosen mate. Thankfully, I found you though. I had one year left. I am twenty-four now, and I am sure they were already looking at potential mates, so finding you has been a blessing.” I laughed, “Well, I am glad you found me then. And I did not realize you were that much older than me. I am nineteen haha.” He laughs with me, and we sit and eat in comfortable silence for a while. After we finish eating, we get up, and I help clean everything up before we go sit in the living room on the couch. “Did you want to watch a movie while we talk?” “I would love that. I have not watched a movie since I was like five haha. That would be wonderful. Nothing scary though, please.” He laughs and nods, “Of course not. You go pick something out. The movies are on that wall over there. I will go make some popcorn and bring out some drinks.” I smile and head over to the bookshelf with the movies on it. There are so many choices. I think I will go with one of these Disney movies. They look pretty good. But which one should I choose? I looked around for a few minutes and I heard him coming back, so I just grabbed one. “Did you find something that you wanted to watch?” “I just grabbed something. I have not had the option in a long time to pick anything that I wanted. I had no clue what I wanted to watch, haha. I just grabbed a Disney movie. Hopefully it is good.” He looks down at the movie in my hand and laughs, “I think that is a good choice, actually. I have not seen it yet but my Beta’s pups love it. They are actually the reason I have the Disney movies honestly.” I nod, “Do all of your ranked members have pups already?” “No, just my Beta and his mate. They had twins for their first. They have a little boy and a little girl.” “Are you wanting pups right away?” He blushes a little, “Only when you are ready. Like I said , I do not want to push you.” I nod, and we sat down and started the movie. Today has been lovely. I think I will enjoy being in this pack.
