Enna's POV...
We finally stop walking and Blair lets me sit down on a soft, swing chair that sits in the sun on the balcony of her room. I close my eyes as I relax into it. I'm not sure how much time passes before I open again, but it's enough time for the sun to seemingly have gone down a noticeable way.
"I was wondering when you would wake..." Blair says from just inside the door way.
The way that the light of the setting sun catches her auburn hair almost make it look as though it has streaks of fire running through it. And, if possible, her eyes seem to reflect all the colors that I know eyes can be. I don't think that I have seen a more perfect creature before.
I hold my breath as I take her all in.
She is a just the slightest bit taller than me and her skin is perfectly sun-kissed compared to the winter paleness of mine. She has a splash of freckles across her face and over various parts of her body that I can see. She plays with the cuff of her tunic as I remind myself that I am blatantly staring at her. I look away.
"I am sorry," I say, "I don't mean to stare. I am just trying to figure all of this out. The events of the past week should have never transpired and now we are here. There's a lot to take in."
I don't know where my head is at right now. This whole mate bond thing is making my head swim. I can't even think straight when she's around. I never thought that I would ever experience the mate bond given my life style. But now there's her... And not that I mind that it's a her, but I thought that mates were supposed to be male and female.
"The Moon Goddess does not make mistakes, my love," Sage says, "We are meant to by with Nyla and Blair... I can tell that you're trying to accept the curve ball of even having a mate. Just remember that there is time. There is always time. We are still healing too."
