After a few days in the hospital we were told we could go home. Only problem now was I couldn’t go back. Elena and Mia said they would be more than willing to stay with me, but the thought of being there made my skin crawl and sent me into a panic attack.
Good thing Leo had been preparing. And with Marcos and Elena’s approval they agreed to let us stay with them till I could get over my fear and be alone in our house.
Leo surprised me by updating his room to accommodate both of us. Elena and Marcos had a surprise for us too. They had decided that it was time to make some changes by opening up the hallway that had been closed off for years to preserve the memory of Dante. They had felt like they had gotten a piece of him back and in a small way I felt like I did too.
