We had the whole day to ourselves now. We decided to stop in town to get some lunch, but my mind kept wandering back to Dean, Lilly and the kids.
“They’ll be fine,” Leo said, giving my thighs a gentle shake, “they’re back together now. We should be celebrating”
“It’s just… I never knew I had any other family”
“Well you do now and they don’t seem so bad. Well the girls don’t”
“She said she doesn’t talk to her family. Do you think they’re like my dad?”
“Do you want to meet them?”
Did I? Did they even want to meet me? Anne and Jacob told them I died as an infant. Maybe it was for the best this way. Lilly wasn’t talking to them for a reason so I guess it would be better to leave them alone.
