Chapter 7: Fearless

"How dare you!" The sniper growled at Kai.
"I dare much." Kai narrowed his eyes at the man. "If you dont knw where to keep your hands, you better seek ways to cut it off your shoulders and stick them down your throat," Kai turned and started for your door, without bothering about those around.
The men with the sniper tried to stop him, but the devil raised his hand, signalling that they should allow him to pass. He was still awed by the youth who looks as fearless as a wolf. It pleased him to see sniper brough to his knees.
"This will teach you to go for those on your level." He smirked as he watched sniper glower.
The devil knew it wasn't over for the boy, but at least, he was safe until they leave ther. However, the devil doesn't intend to alloe sinper to get to the boy before him. Any fellow that can bring the egoistic sniper to his knees is worth keeping.
"Rubbish!"Kai fumed in irritation as he left the place.
He felt like kicking everyone he sees,but he kept the temper in check. He's still in his workplace, so it's not ideal to rabt in fury, there.
"Trouble in paradise?" Pat chuckled whne he saw the expression on Kai's face.
"There's more than trouble in wonderland."Kai proceeded to tell Pat everything that had happened. "Can you believe that i***t?He's lucky I'm in a good mood. Had it not been for that, I would have shown him exactly what I'm made of."
"Wait a minute." Pat furrowed his brows at Kai."I need to get something straight."
"Yes, what's it?" Kai frowned as he checked the time.
"You went into the room the devil was in and kicked one of his men?"
"Of course, I did."
"Are you sure its the devil you saw?It can't be the devil, else your life will be in danger."
Everyone knows who the devil is and they know the devil isn't a person to be trifled with. You dont cross him and go Scott-free. It's not possible.
"He was there. Although I didnt get to see his face, he was there and mind you, I dont care."
"You dont care?What if what he might-"
"He can do nothing to me, Pat. You don't have to seem so surprised and all that. The devil will do nothing to me. I dont ahve a cause to be afraid of him."
"Oh, you-"
"I have orders to deliver, Pat. I don't have the time to stand here and converse with you." He said before he left, with Pat standing with his hands folded as he observed the fearless Kai.
"I pray you to meet no harm." He sighed as he watch Kai.

"I'm leaving!" Kai waved at them
He has changed out of his work clothes and is now putting on a sport shorts with the baggy shirt he got from the thrift store.
"Have a good night!" Marie called from the pack as she too got ready to leave.
"You too!"
The bar was still in full force as kon left. However, it was time for his shift change. Although the bar employed him despite kowing he's still a student, they have a principal they maintain. He's not to work until midnight and thats why he's leaving by this time.
"Bye!" Kai waved at the bouncer who was standing at the door.
"Bye" Tan beamed as he watched his leave." be careful out there. Its dangerous for young boys like you to walk the streets alone."
"Oh don't worry. I'm going to be safe. You don't have to worry about me. I'm a big boy."
"If you said so."
"I do."
Kai grinned as he left the bar and headed towards the alley that will lead him straight to hte run-down excuse of a house he's living in, with his mother. The devil who was patiently waiting for him to leave, signalled his men to call him.
"Excuse me." The men in suits called Kai whose attention wasn't on the black cars but on his destination.
"How may I help you?" He narrowed his eyes at the men as he got ready for a confrontation with them.
Kai knew he can't defeat them in a go; however, he was still determined to try. He will not back down without a fight.
"I-"
"If you have nothing important to say, you better-" He turned to leave, but one of the men blocked his path, and prevented him from leaving.
"What's this?" He narrowed his eyes.
"Our boss is calling you." One of the men said.
"Your boss?" He narrowed his eyes at the men."And who the hell is your boss? Doesn't he have a name?"
"The devil."
"What?"Kai frowned. "Is that a person's name?" He tightly held on to the strap of the bag.
"Yes.Our-"
"Go and tell your boss that I'm not coming anywhere. If he wants to talk, he can come by himself. If not, I'm leaving." Kai tried to leave, but the men blocked him.
The devil sat in his car and watched the drama unfold infront of him.Just like he has expected, the human wasn't ready to buldge. He seemed ready to take everyone head-on.
"What a feisty little thing." The devil caressed his jaw as he watched Kai. The boy interested him at first sight. However, lookingat him now, the devil felt the need to tie him to his bed and do unimaginable things to him.He imagined how fun it will be to break someone as feisty as the human in front of him. Menawhil, Kai was still arguing with the men, who were hell-bent on taking him to their boss. The devil will have their head for their inability to complete a task.
