Chapter 6 (Princess) As the months go by Liyah and I have been dating for five months now. Of course we have a lot of downs because she still continues to cheat. Sometimes I think I'm stupid for staying and I deserve better. But besides the cheating she treats me right and makes me very happy. We've gotten serious to the point where she has the key to my apartment. Right now I'm literally in a life or death situation. A fire broke out in my apartment and just as I was running the floor collapsed under me but I grabbed on to the part of the floor that didn't. I was hanging on for dear life as I seen if I fall the elevator thing is under me and I'm falling down at least ten floors. But I don't know how much longer I can hang on. Suddenly I felt someone grab on my wrist. I opened up my eyes to see Liyah trying to save me. I can't believe she would walk into a burning building just to save me. She managed to pull up and as she carried me bridal style towards the entrance. I passed out due to smoke installation. I woke up to shining bright lights in my eyes. My vision was blurry for a second but after blinking a few times it got back to normal. I looked around the room then I noticed Lee curled up next to sleeping and Liyah with her face buried into her hands. I moved around in the hospital a little bit an she looked up. She came to my side and softly kissed my cheek then the doctor and her parents walked in. Doctor: It's good to see your awake because you were asleep for two days. You will be just fine, you have second degree burns on your right leg so might find it hard to walk on that leg for a while. You suffered from some smoke installation so developing asthma is in your future. Other than that you are fine and seem to be one healthy girl I suggest taking a few days off from school for your leg to heal and everyday you should rub this cream on it. It will help it heal and make your wound feel less hot and painful. After you sign your discharge papers you are free to go. I sat up and that's when police and fire men entered. They told me I lost almost everything in the fire besides the stuff in the bedroom because the door was closed and the fire didn't travel far in there. It was a relief hearing that because my most important things were in my bedroom closest. They told me if it wasn't for Liyah coming over at the time she was I could have died from dropping ten floors, smoke installation, or burning to death. Liyah parents took me in and I'm just so glad to be alive. But then a overwhelming sadness came upon me when I realized my parents didn't even come to make sure I was alive.
