“Why did you do it?” Garvin asked, throwing his eyes around her with a doubtful glint. She was shivering even before he asked the question.
“I didn’t- I-“ she stuttered, crying and staring at her hands. “I don’t know.”
He believed her. She was either telling the truth and something was wrong or this girl- whoever she was- was a very good liar- good enough to deceive Garvin.
Garvin turned around, walking away.
“Is that it?” Bourbon asked, following him and trying to catch up. “That’s the only question you’ll ask.”
“I say it’s over when it’s over,” Garvin replied. “I don’t need you tailing me around. Is that clear?”
Bourbon sighed. “Clear, sir.”
“Make sure the other girls are still here until we know the truth. It won’t take much time.”
Bourbon responded with a nod
