Kieran ​The morning sun casts a warm glow over the pack lands. ​It’s pissing me off. ​With my hands shoved deep in the pockets of my jeans, I trudge through the gravel road, my shoulders stiff from the morning chill. ​I have a barrage of meetings today. A s**t load of paper work waiting for me by tomorrow. And then repeat, the rest of the week. ​It would most likely be another two weeks before I can see Viv again. ​Yeah, you caught me. That’s obviously the real reason behind my bad mood. ​Staying away from her sucks, no doubt about it, but the weight of leadership rests heavily on my shoulders. I’d be stupid to put my priorities on hold just for more rolls between the sheets. ​That can wait. ​Shouldering ahead, I push open the door to the council’s meeting room. They all rise up
