I awoke the following morning with a stare, pounding heart as I stood in the dark room. I was confused for few moments about where I was, and the events surrounding the previous night were indistinct but ominous. Then it came back—the letter, the fear, the guards standing just beyond the door. Nora moved restlessly beside me, wincing her eyes open. "What time is it?" she grumbled. I looked at my phone.
