While we slept, Nora’s body started feeling hot, and it happened that she had a fever. I positioned myself beside Nora on the bed and put a wet, cold cloth on her forehead; to no avail. "Nora, should I take you to the hospital?" I asked nervously. She gently protested by shaking her head. "No, Peace. Call a nurse. I do not want to go home." I experienced a lack of clarity. Her obstinacy was part to which I had grown accustomed; however, I also knew that when she said she did not want to go, she meant it.
